The flowers kind of got lost in translation with the cake bubbles. Next time I'll know to fill it better. For now I'm glad to civet it up with the glaze @chefdebbie posted. Can't wait to see what it looks like when I cut it!

Aw, sorry it didn't look as good as you wanted. Next time fill it carefully and slowly and then I like to bang the pan filled with batter on the counter top or table. It will help get rid of some of the bubbles. I bet that glaze will be fantastic. I copied it so I can try it soon. I need an occasion when there will be people to help us eat it.

I am all about the taste except when I have company. I did bang it a bit before tossing it in the oven. I have company on the Halloween Driveway Party Tonight. Hopefully it will be dark by dessert time! Thumbs up I am going to cut the first slice out of it. People tend to eat it if it has been "bitten into" already. nodding Then we can see what it looks like inside.

It was one of the best. Not too sweet. Very flavorful. Already thinking of ways to change it up.

After filling, pick up the pan & very gently & carefully hit the pan on the counter (like you're picking it up & putting it down). Tap the pan & you'll see air bubbles rise to the top

You tried my lemon glaze recipe? That cake looks fantastic, I wouldn't change a thing. It's beautifully presented, I would most definitely serve that in my restaurant! (if i owned one).

Yes, I did. And you are right. It was easy and delish! I had never made a glaze without milk. (like, I am an experienced cake-baker! Rolling on the floor laughing ) Now I know I can.

IDK how bubbles can come up out of that batter? It is soooo thick! But now I know I must be more aggressive with it. I will! Count on it! But where is a safe place to do that without cracking tiles and counter tops? That batter-filled pan was heavy!

I have a cake in the crock pot right now. We have a fundraiser tomorrow at work so I'm trying a new recipe.

http://www.sugarfreemom.com/re...

I forgot the gluten free flour so I just used spelt flour and I thought I had regular applesauce but couldn't find it so a little thing of cinnamon applesauce went in instead. Batter tasted good so I have high hopes for the cake!!

Do it on your patio or driveway. If you have granite countertops like I do, you won't be doing any damage. You would be surprised how much air that will release. I'm so happy you liked my recipe! You can pick my brain anytime!

Here's my cake. I will say the time for cooking depends on how good your crock pot is because I still had an hour and a half to go and it was done.
