Oh, now that looks pretty cool. However, I would want one that makes the "regular" sized donuts, not the mini ones. Is there such a beast??? LOL

Welcome @Stream26 Welcome! Welcome! Do you know damage I could do with a donut machine? I would be as big as a house. I have absolutely NO resistance when it comes to donuts. None! I am happy they cannot "live" more than a day and you sort of have to "plan" on eating a donut or it will go stale. Though I am bad enough to eat stale donuts just because it is there. Yes ,donuts (mostly Apple Fritters Lovey dubby ) are on my list for my "Last Meal on Earth" day. But I'll look at your machines anyway. Rolling on the floor laughing I think I will buy one for Xmas for DD and SIL.

I am pulling the last of the Raspberry Pound Cake from the freezer. It's Football Night againnnnn and I thought the guys would help me eat the rest so I can bake another. I'd say Pound Cake in the freezer is a pretty good plan for me and my eating habits. I have been wanting Pound Cake for over a week now. But I didn't want to wait til it defrosted. And not being a good Eating Planner, it never got pulled from the freezer. Overall Total Calories Saved: a Gazillion! Thumbs up I want to bake another. I'd better get going on buying the new beater set. The old one never showed up in my kitchen! Where the Heck did it go???

Make this for my family sometimes, they seem to enjoy it.

White Chocolate Raspberry Bundt Cake

1 pkg white cake mix (I like the French Vanilla mix)
1 instant white chocolate pudding mix (3.4oz)
1 cup sour cream
4 large eggs
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup oil
1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips
1 cup raspberry pastry or pie filing

Instructions

Grease and flour bundt pan and preheat oven to 350 deg
In large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, pudding, sour cream, eggs water and oil. Mix until well combined. Stir in choc chips after prior ingredients have been combined. (also works well with or without the chips-yes I have forgotten them before and it turned out great)

Fill bundt pan with 1/3 batter and than spoon in 1/2 of raspberry filling; use knife to swirl in rasp filling into batter. Pour in 1/3 batter and repeat process, than top with remaining batter.

Cook in oven at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes. Remove from oven and let 10 minutes than remove from pan.

OMG -- for me to have an automatic donut machine would be an extremely bad idea... Blinking

But, welcome to NGA, @Stream26 !

Crawgarden, that Bundt cake recipe of yours certainly sounds tempting as well... Big Grin

@crawgarden, this is the type of pound cake my grandmother would make. She called them Dream Cakes. Her forte was an Orange Rum cake that had enough rum in the frosting us kids would be asleep for the car ride home! Rolling on the floor laughing ETA Here's the original clipping from my grandma's recipe box with her hand written notes, circa 1940-1950.

I just found this thread. You all need to do more posts here. I've about died laughing. I've had all the same mishaps and have the same messy drawers full of utensils I never use or have used once! I just starred and labeled all the recipes. This is not what I need. I'm supposed to be dieting! nodding I love baking, but haven't done much of it since the kids left home.

Cheryl...I wish we had that rumcake as kids...
Our ride home was managed with the threat of the wooden spoon!

Your recipe us precious!

The only thing I baked recently is a shepards pie.

My DD has enough baked goods in this house to keep an entire cardiology stent inserting staff busy for a month ..I AIN'T BAKING THAT CRUNCHY TOP POUND...let 'em beg!

During our recent garage sale, I made the mistake of visiting my neighbor to see how her sales were going. She was ridding herself of so much household stuff that was her mother's and her Ex who both live in Assisted Living. She asked me to take for free anything I wanted. I told her I was trying to get rid of my own stuff. "No thank you~ "But then she handed me a never-used, beautiful, flowery, very heavy, HEAVY bundt cake pan. "Here," she says, "You bake delicious cakes!". Hahahaha Rolling on the floor laughing She got half of my near-disaster, first cake. Little did she know how much help I had from @Missingrosie and everyone else on here when I baked and nearly failed my first poundcake!

I have baked one more pound cake, the rest is in the freezer. But I have eaten other cakes at work and Everything Bundt Cakes store. So the craving has been fed, as well as my waistline. But I had the inkling to buy 4lbs of butter at Costco the other day. My Other Self must have plans!

LOL, Cheryl! But that Bundt pan sounds like it would make a good wall decoration, if nothing else... Smiling

"A treasure"? Really? hahahaha You KNOW I know nothing about these things. I only know pots and pans are better the heavier they are. Who'd want to frost over something like that??

I'm jealous too! I've seen a lot of different styles of Bundt pans, but never one like that... now you need to make a cake to show us how it looks, Cheryl! Big Grin
