Hey, he likes to take a little drive now and again -- how cute! Does he also mow?

I don't think I'd trust him to mow. Smiling

My old yard man is pretty reliable and works for cheap (food and lodging).

Tabby: That shot of the cat on the mower is priceless !

I think Zu is right about cats wanting to stay out as long as possible in October. Mine do the same thing...they probably know that in 2 weeks we turn the clocks back.

Japser in the pot is excellent. Love the foot braced up against the lattice work.

It is a very casual pose, isn't it? He's such a happy boy.

But Jasper Dale, how did you manage to misspell your own name? You called the cat "Japser." Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

When I was a youngster we had a spooky cat called "Bootsie". Common enough name for a white-footed feline, but he was anything but common. One night I woke up to use the facilities....and someone already was! This more *outdoors than indoors* cat was stretched across the toilet doing his business! It was one of the strangest night-time visions I'd ever had.

....especially because this cat really gave you condescending looks if you ever tried to explain anything to him! I don't know how many times I had to walk over to the local "cat-lady's" house, crawl in through the pet door to the garage and fetch him home 'cause my Mom was worried he'd been gone too many days in a row. When I tried to console him on the journey home and explain that his *person* was concerned for his well-being, he always just glared at me. Separating him from his gals just wasn't cool!

Ahh, the memories of childhood....

I've never seen (or had) a cat who can use the throne. Can't imagine them NOT falling in. I did have a brain dead cat that would try to drink from it and fell in head first every single time. Poor dumb thing never did "get it".

So rarely do we see an incompetent cat that it is always surprising - and often comical.

While flipping through images headed for the database I realized that I hadn't shared my newest garden ornament yet.

This garden is right outside the window of the computer room - so on a very windy, wet, cold and miserable day like today I can look at it and grin. Big Grin

Hilarious!
I found one of mine tipped over so I know one of the big beasts was where he shouldn't have been! Angry This is their temporary spot until the beasts move out. Guess it's not as safe as I thought.

I love Talavera pottery. I wish Laurel Burch had designed things for the garden while she was still alive, but Talavera reminds me of Burch's designs, so I have Laurel Burch inside and Talavera outside.

I wish Talavera pottery could survive outdoors here, but I dare not take the chance. OTOH, I have lots of Laurel Burch inside, incuding bolts of fabric and a framed poster of a large orange cat.

Talavera costs so much, Tabby, that I bring it under cover in winter even here. That's why I've never invested in any of the big heavy pieces. Smiling There is a gorgeous birdbath at Emerisa, however, and they're having another 20%-off sale, so I might give in this year.
