Holly I can send you some of that. Cmail me your address.
Janet will you be doing more of those pots? I would love to buy one. I have never seen them made like that. I really like it. Only in that wonderful soft green that you did that first entry in your database. Oh, do die for. I can see it now.
Holly you should check out Janets database. Maybe you already have?
Janet if you get some ready for sale let me now if you want to post them over here. I will set up a special place for them or maybe make a link with a picture to your Cubit? It's so hard to find really great containers.

Love the enthusiasm----LOL! First let me see if this one survives.....I've learned that even THINKING of a pot all finished seems to offend the kiln gods!

I had a lovely extra-large salad bowl in greenware (basically dry mud) and I just couldn't help thinking of it all glazed and full of salad for a party that's coming up. Yep---had a big crack all the way across the middle of the bottom when it came out of the first firing. So I'm trying desperately not to get ahead of myself with this one. Seven pots may be a bit ambitious, too. I've seen them done with 3 on the bottom and 1 on the top----but NOOOOoooo, I couldn't stop there.....

I'll keep you posted, and take pictures---it's still drying, and right now I'm just hoping to get it INTO the kiln for its first firing without it coming all apart.....hopefully just writing about it doesn't jinx it!!!

I just really seem to be drawn to some shades of green for several years now. I love the muted colors on that jar.

Of the 4 cluster pots I made, 2 broke apart while I was glazing them (I have some work to do on the joining technique so the darn things stay together), and the big one I'm hoping to have turn out for a gift is waiting for its final firing. I have my fingers crossed.....
This small one survived, and I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Overall it's only ~7" x 6" wide and ~3" high. The rims of the 2 larger pots are ~2 1/2" in diameter, and the smaller one is 2". I sized the pots for small specimens. If I can figure out how to make the small ones work, eventually I could make some larger ones, but I've got to resolve the attaching problem first!

Cheering you on. I know you will get it figured out. I would really love to have one in a bigger size. Mmmm, that small one might work for some tiny semps I have. Okay Janet, I will buy that one also. Can you ship it with the other pots? I can't wait to get home and start planting. Smiling

I was thrilled to find that my first cluster pot (which I made when I didn't know how hard they would be!!) survived the glaze firing! It's earmarked for my friend's birthday, but now that I've got some better "engineering" ideas, I'll be making more.
