We have mild winters here, so I do not need to bring it indoors. It just stays outside. It was actually a gift given to me by my aunt in 2009, and I just repotted it, and so far it thrives quite well whether it is sizzling triple digit heat or in the 50's.

What a treasure of a plant. It looks fairly large, how did you manage the re-potting without breaking limbs off?

The plant's base was fairly sturdy when I gripped it, there were some limbs that did break off, but it is such a resilient one, it just keeps growing.

My Red Cauli is popping buds like crazy. Is early spring the right time to fertilize? It's in fairly fertile soil.

Evan, I never fertilize my sedum. It seems to make them leggy and a little weak in their growth habit. But there are probably those here that have good experience with fertilizing.
I'll let them advise you.

Thanks Lynn. Good info. I fertilized the starts last year and boy were they leggy.

The hardy sedum and sempervivum just don't need fertilizing. I find they stay much healthier without it. : )

My Purple Emperor is coming up beautifully. Everything is popping up early here, I will have to get out there and see what else is coming up.

It sure does look great spring. Which varieties are you growing? What is the really dark leafed one?
