Aren't those three brand new leaves standing tall, Gabe?? That's pretty special in itself!

Yes. I agree If you have new leaves coming out of the middle then that is progress for sure.

Have to agree. That is substantial growth in this heat!

There's others doing way better than these, but they weren't chosen for this. Here's a shot of the garden since the major transplant and new additions

Considering how hot it has been since July until now, your garden is doing really well. I expect we won't have major growth down here until the spring. A lot of my older iris have shed most of their big fans this year, but are growing new small fans. Makes it look like all my gardens were just planted!

Today I get my motherload of Burseens, so then I will choose my iris for the progress report.

Can't wait to see all of your Burseens Leslie! Are you planting them in all different places or in one bed?

Well most of the new ones (just listed them all on the I Got A Box thread) will go into the new bed. I have several space agers already in another bed. It won't be too crazy having these in one bed because they are not all space agers. There is a very large variety, from a white self to multiple multi-colored, to purples, and yes, horns, fat fat beards, and spoons. And they will be mixed in with Blyths, Tascos, and Spoons. With plenty of dwarfs and IB's, MTB's and BB's around the outside.

Leslie, Timothy hinted we may be sharing something in our gardens this season. Whistling Guess we'll see when the boxes arrive Whistling also, don't know what this weather will bring in the immediate future. Stay safe and let's not get too much rain. I wonder how Richard is doing in Fl?

Liz, one thing I always look at is another gardens soil. Your looks great and so do those rhizomes. After I planted it's been nothing but dog days of heat here. My garden is a little ashy, but yes it has really taken off. To think, last year I started in late October all the way into Christmas. Some I can't even tell they they were newly added at all.
Gimme it and I'll grow it!

Have you seen the latest track for Hermine? We are going to be pretty wet here. Thumbs down

Hope you don't get too much crap out of that hurricane. It would be nice if some of the moisture would go North to the dry areas.

I did. He said he sent us nice one and put the rest back in the field. I looked at it and commented and that was it. Lol, I should have commented on a lot more.

I think we'll get wind here and probably a normal rain. I'm working on that bed this morning and there's a 90% chance of rain this late afternoon.hopefully the box will arrive so they can go straight into the ground.
Gimme it and I'll grow it!

I hoped to plant last night but we had pouring rain. Hermine comes in tomorrow so I hope to get things planted at some point soon.

If your area is only going to get a couple of inches I would go ahead and plant. My area is getting rain from about noon Friday through Saturday evening.

Or west to the really dry areas.

Hermine is expected to start impacting our weather later today. Hope we don't see massive amounts of rain.
