Nice Elaine, very nice.
Keep in mind that a digital camera does not have the same color space that film has. It is short in the red spectrum. And then any picture will look different on any given monitor monitor.

I agree I love both of them! My 'Cinnamon Stick has two new growths, but no signs of sheaths yet. I believe it was in bloom when I bought it 8/22/15 but it was from Hawaii, and we're a lot different from Hawaii. Maybe later this fall.

Hi everyone...your plants are looking nice. As for me in GA., my plannts are putting out growth still and new roots. I hope to get some blooms this fall or winter. But in the mean time I will have to enjoy all of yours.

I love the 'Cinnamon Stick', Elaine! Lovey dubby

Mike, don't feel bad, I don't have much in bloom either, but I see a lot of good growth on my Fall and Winter bloomers, just like you do! It is a good thing!

Regarding these hard to capture colors - I used to take truly dozens of pictures with different settings with my Nikon and maybe I had one picture which had captured the color reasonably well. Then I got my IPad Air a couple of years ago and took pictures of the Potinara Redheart, which was impossible to get a correct color. Well, I took two pictures, the colors were spot-on on both!
Of course, as Ted implied, who knows how it looked on other monitors. But on our iMac here it was perfect too.

I would splurge on a camera that captured true colors.

I'll have to check that out Ursula.
Here is a picture of a bloom on a plant I bought about a year ago. It is supposed to be Den. speciosum ssp curvicaule. Not even close. This is the plant that I posted in What's going on here. It has a leaf coming out of the media and the spike comin straight out of the center of the leaf. But it ain't no Den. speciosum ssp curvicaule

Do you know where you got it from, Ted?
It's possible the grower/seller might recognize it.

Weird! In addition, it looks like the single flower is missing a few pieces.

I have a little Habenaria rhodocheila that has flowers similar in shape, although mine are pink/red. It's not blooming yet but here's a pic from last year.

My regular Neofinetia falcata didn't look so hot this Spring on its mount, so I took it off and gave it a Dragon pot, which I still had around.

It's a very classy look in that pot, Ursula. Groovy. . .

My Neo's are all slacking off these days. Not a glimmer of a spike despite lots of new growth.

Ursula...my little Neo came on a mount and it never did well on it. So, I put it in a small pot and it is growing very well. Still waiting for it to bloom, but the other one I have has bloomed well for me. The other one is growing in a plastic slotted pot.

Ted...little pot...lol! nodding
