Wow, that little Grammy is a far cry from Jim's huge one, isn't it. Really pretty flowers.

That's for sure, Elaine. This plant has lots of new growth, but since that growth is so tiny, it hardly shows up. The back pseudobulbs seem to dry up and are lost after a couple of years so she's always going to be diminutive in size. I only mount compacts or sub-compacts, so that they won't take up much space.

No new flowers yet, but the buds have broken out on the second sheath on Cinnamon Stick. It's had a good day's drying out today, so maybe that will push it to open its flowers soon.

Hi Tara,

Like the members told me earlier, it took a little while for the fragrance to set in after it bloomed. Mine smells a little like vanilla. It is very light and faint. I don't get any cinnamon fragrance at all. It could be my nose. I love it though. It's beautiful. Thank you for asking!

I agree The beauty of the bloom can stand on it's own, even without any fragrance it's a keeper! Mmmm, vanilla, yum!
Feel free to post another picture of it! Never get tired of looking at them. Big Grin

Not the best of days for me. Morning exercise was followed by a brutal 3 hour dentist appointment and I am still having trouble feeling my face. The moment I got home with the pain killers and antibiotics it started to rain and it is still raining. Several branches down including a big one from the laurel oak. I think I will take one of those big pain killers to the sofa for a nap.

Wow, Jim, that is a long dental sitting. I, probably above all others, know what you feel like. I hope you recuperate well and quickly.
