Big Ouch! I learned through the years that Dentists who cause such excruciating pain can be replaced by those with a better touch!

That is why I drive 3 hours each way to my favorite dentist. He and his hygienists are worth the ride even for just a cleaning/check up.

Hope the pain killers did their magic for you. Laurel oaks are dropping like flies around here, huge trees are just falling over.

Feel better quickly, Jim!
We had a monsoon here today with pretty significant wind..so my homemade tarp came down. The weather reports for the next 5 days looks similar. I'll put the tarp ( damaged as it is) up again tomorrow and hope for the best.

Jim, please be careful with the antibiotics. I lost my hearing in one ear...Thank goodness it was only the one! It was the antibiotic, in my opinion, and that of my ENT., that caused the nerve damage, that in turn caused the hearing loss. Antibiotics are something that should be avoided, at all cost! In my humble, hear-less opinion!

Take care! Good thoughts headed your way!

Weird. First pics are of a opening bud but way deformed. And there is another bud on the same stalk right behind it
Then the same plant a few days later.

That's very rare, Tara. There is no doubt that antibiotics are over-used, such as when treating the common cold. There is also no doubt that antibiotics have literally saved hundreds of millions of lives. They should be used thoughtfully. The blame should not be placed with the antibiotic, it should be placed with the prescribing doctor.

Ted, I had my yellow Psychopsis bloom two flowers on one stem at the same time, once...and now that growing tip seems to have fizzled out..but it did force a new growing end a little lower down on the spike. I can see why you guys went for that 'El Supremo'...it is fabulous!

Excellent show, Ted. My favorites are the Den. Fire Wings and the Mabel Kandra cross.

Same here!!
The Psychopsis is pretty. I think they always look a bit weird when they are trying to unfurl.

On several occasions, I have had two flowers try to simultaneously open on the same spike. It generally looks like total confusion and I wish they wouldn't do that.

Maybe that's why some boffin had a flash of genius and named it Psychopsis? Just sayin . . .

They're all lovely, especially the Lc. but I am smitten by the flower shape on 'Fire Wings'. Just gorgeous.

Nuttin new here, but the big NOID has one ready to pop any moment.

Bad plant mama again.... I was looking at a bed of potted plants that were positioned so they would get irrigated and saw something purple. Sure enough I found this pathetic Zygo hidden in there. I must have put it out there when we went out of town over Memorial Day weekend. The plant looks a bit peaked and the flowers are pale but this is the 3rd time it has bloomed this year.
