FPF, the annual Hybridizing Clinic was where many of us, mostly in northwest Oregon, got together every April to eat, talk about sempervivens, eat some more and visit various sempy places such as Kevin Vaughn's and Perennial Obsessions to do more talking and eating. Sure was fun! Covid kind of knocked it out.

Gutters can be hung on a fence. My neighbor grows strawberries in "fence" gutters.

Wait, you forgot to mention the real reason we showed up from different cities and states to eat all that food in so many different places: The lectures given by Kevin Vaughn regarding Hybridizing Sempervivums!
Touching on subjects like Planning the Crosses, Making the Crosses, Seed Harvest, Seed Planting, Rowing Out Seedlings and Evaluating the Seedlings. The last being so important, we were given tough questions to ponder and answer at the end.

And gutters full of pretty sempervivum also hide unsightly or inconvenient architectural features if you have any of those.
