Kevin, just wondering, is the above semps the same semps as any of these two photographed in your garden a month ago?

Bev,

The second one is a sister seedling!! It has amazing form. The first photo is how it looked when you were here. I think it transforms to an even brighter shade of rose pink. Won't it be fun when these are on the market? You might need an extender for your patio!!

Kevin, If your photo is the latest of the semp in my first photo, then one month made a big difference in color change!

Yes. I remember that sweet little arach semp. It made colonies in no time at all.
The most offsets I've had on a rosette was when 'Picasso' offset for me the first time. A whopping 50 offsets that spring. I decided to do what Mark was doing, I cut them all of the mother rosette and planted them in a protected area, they had not made roots yet. Within two weeks that same rosette was sending more offset out, numbering 50 AGAIN. So I removed those and planted them. That same rosette quickly put out 50 more offsets, totally 150 offsets for that season. I left the last batch on the rosette, I was afraid she was going to offset herself to death. With each batch she lost noticable size.

OMG that's SO interesting Lynn! No wonder I saw so many baby Picassos in a small flat at your house one year!
I can see a bunch of people looking for their clippers now and can possibly hear the poor whimpering offsets being separated from their Mama...

Bev, everyone of those tiny, rootless offsets lived. Just shows how tough those babies are.

Tim traded semp time for pickle ball time??? I've heard it can be addictive... Here, they converted the tennis court at the community college to a pickle ball court. Then I think covid hit before the new court got used. Haven't heard anything since.

The tennis court was going unused with grass growing in cracks. I never would have thought tennis would go away like that.

I was lucky to be able to visit Perennial Obsessions late last month and the next best thing to bringing home a pot is just looking at all the other pots!
Here's a large colony of a very small cultivar planted in a ~2.25 inch pot (sorry forgot to note ID)

They look a bit light deprived. You might want to acclimatize them to more sun, or they might fry.

Pachamama is the most affected of all, so far. I wonder if it's because it's so tiny?

What happened to it? Honestly, the semps that I find at the stores here look even worse.

It just got to me Thursday afternoon and just got potted up yesterday.
Apparently some are more affected than others when shipped.

As a comparison, Vlado doesn't seem to have been affected at all, but one chick of Vlado is about the same size as all of Pachamama put together. I cannot wait to see what a large colony of Vlado will look like!!
