You may have to pay more to get tastier and larger portions of food. I am a fairly big eater so they wouldn't be good for me. Hilarious!

Sorry that one didn't work out, Rita. But appreciate your reporting.
Had a bowl of chili with most of an avocado diced on top, and cheese and sour cream. Healthy? Well, nutritious, I think, but not 'light."
Pre dinner snacks were fresh radish and mushroom slices.

I saw a recipe video, of well chopped romaine mixed with dressing, and feta. Maybe scallions and dill. That it was well chopped made it appealing. Most times you get romaine, there are big hunks.
Plant it and they will come.

There really are many of these prepared meal delivery businesses. I am trying to find tasty and healthy options. I am not about to give up quite yet.

Made eggplant parmesan today with thinly tofu in the middle. Pretty good on carbohydrate, cholesterol and calories and the OG liked it. There's more, so I'll put it aside and spell it off with nachos, since I have some tomato sauce left over. Jazz it up a bit with hot pepper and onion, throw in some diced red pepper, olives and tomato, melt cheese over the top. Half an hour should do.
If I stand too long, my back starts complaining. It's practical enough to peel fruit in front of the TV, but I won't sit down to chop onions.
Behind every opportunity is a disaster in waiting.

I had an early dinner of one of my Modify Health meals. This one was a pork chop. Funny when I was ordering I thought this would be my least favorite but guess what? It is my most favorite. Actually very good and I would gladly eat this again. Tender pork chop with nice flavor in a sweet potato mash with grern beans. The sweet potato mash is delicious.

I had chocolate cake. Tried a box mix hack I found on FB. I guess the box mixes are smaller now.....5 ounces less and people that "do" cakes are not happy. There is a recipe our there now for a white and a chocolate cake copycat. It is really good. I want to make my own birthday cake to take to a Friday night dance next season: my birthday is on a Friday. After that disgusting cake we were served for someone else's birthday, I have to show them there is better. And this wad made by a gal that supposedly makes wedding cakes. I would be ashamed to have a cake like this served to the public and expect to be paid for it.

Rita, do you like almonds? We eat 10 chocolate covered almonds as a treat with lunch every day, and yes, I count them and that's the only time we eat them. You could maybe eat 5 so your not always craving a little sweet. We buy the large bags at Costco.

I thought I remembered you saying that, too bad as I believe you can eat nuts on the Keto diet. Thinking

Oh yes, Keto wants one to eat nuts. They say a great source of protein and healthy fats.

Even as a child a hated nuts. My mother would always eat them. Then later in life I bought them for my husband. But I would never eat them.

As far as sweets maybe 3 times in 3 months I have broken down and each time eatten 2 Heseys Kisses. Only 2!!!

I so want a cake or donuts or cookies or cheezecake. Keto claims you stay on Keto and will no longer crave those sweets. Well, my swrets cravibgs are less now after over 3 months on Keto. But gone?? No way!! I just want that cake.

Summer is coming and I love a cold dish of ice cream in the hot weather. Don't know how I will resist.

So as far a healthy eating. Someone suggested store bought frozen dinners. Some healther brands without the loaded salts and preservatives. Reading labels on Amazon they ALL have Maltodextrin. Something I would rather not have. Stuff is really bad for you. Spikes your insulin like crazy high.

Maltodextrin sounds like a sneaky form of sugar. The dex part.

We shared a cheesesteak sub. Not healthy haha. But looking at little kids in the mall with whole cups of soda, where we shared one soda. I now feel kids should be extremely limited with soda.
Plant it and they will come.

I love Subs!! Want to go to Subway Sandwiches and get a sub.

Maltodextrin is Sugar times 100% . And it is in just about everything prosessed food. Yes, in even those healthy choice type snacks and frozen dinners.

So by now everyone knows I have a sweet tooth. But being good staying away from the sugar and sweets.

Today at the park across the street they had the annual car show all morning and early afternoon. Lots of noise and such. But the crazy part is the ice cream truck was literilly in front of my house most of the time. I could not look out my front window because I wanted to go run out and get ice cream!!! Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious!

Oh the temptation. And I know that ice cream is so good. Got it often these past few years.

I just took an apple crisp our of the oven, I had to use a few apples that were getting old, I am going to serve it with whipped cream. In my defense I bought the whipping cream because the kids were coming to visit, and then I injured my leg so badly I couldn't do much standing to cook. Sighing!

Some selfless cow gave you her cream, it'd be sad to not use it Thumbs up Hilarious!

I saw cows lined up to be milked, at a farm. They just exuded a calm, determined 'let me in the parlor to do my job' sort of zen. Seemed to me Shrug! It was easy to think that, rather than think of them as just ignorant animals, and they certainly weren't suffering or complaining. And they had calves in big plastic 'dog houses' where you could pet them. I wonder if they'll stop that, now, with bird flu concerns?
Plant it and they will come.
