@barbalee
I'm sure he will : ) I have all fall and winter to find the seeds or a plant. It'll give me something to do when the snow is a foot deep. Smiling

I didn't get a picture of The Jury's Out yesterday, but here's one today - last flower of the year
Thumb of 2016-09-10/twixanddud/a7d233

And here are a few others that are blooming today...

Mr Skeffington, I think this is a late scape

@Hazelcrestmikeb , I have no idea - I will check the scapes on The Jury's Out tomorrow when the weather is better (it's raining this afternoon) and will let you know. FFO on it this year was July 18th. I just got it in June of last year.

Lovely bloom, Kid...

Only blooms today were all bad hair day ones, on 'Nancy Billingslea', 'Tuscawilla Tranquility' (not so much bad hair as something had been chewing on it Blinking ), and a seedling (one petal sticking up).
Evaluating an iris seedling, hopefully for rebloom

I posted this one on Rebloom Cultivars but wanted to show it here, too. Sunny Intervals has been a star here ever since it arrived in 2015 and this late scape just make it that much more special. The flower is close to eight inches.

@Avedon , I have Sunny Intervals too and LOVE it! I think it's even more beautiful in person, the colors are just gorgeous.

@Hazelcrestmikeb , here are the scapes from The Jury's Out (I cut them and brought them into the shade, I didn't want to spend too much more time in the sun). As you can see, every scape has a prolif or a start of one, and one scape has two. Didn't realize that until today, as I can't easily get to a lot of my daylilies. I wish I had the time and patience to deal with prolifs! I never have much luck with them anyway.

Here are the bud scar counts on the scapes: 32, 38, 45, 50, 68, 72. As I mentioned, I have only had this plant since June of last year, so I expect it will likely improve after it settles in longer.

Thumb of 2016-09-11/Raven/7b672a DARLA ANITA--a few buds left to open. None of the ruffles are getting hung up this year.

Thumb of 2016-09-11/Raven/ae7414 DUBLIN ELAINE--well know as a late bloomer. A few more to come. So windy today so the strap blew in the way!!

Thumb of 2016-09-11/Raven/e1f7e5 LAVENDER BLUE BABY--on rebloom

Thumb of 2016-09-11/Raven/0759e3 POOKIE BEAR--rebloom, miniature, last bloom

Thumb of 2016-09-11/Raven/79a80b PUMPKIN PIE SPICE-- last one

Thumb of 2016-09-11/Raven/56e31d SOLDIER OF LOVE-- long time bloomer, still buds, often blotchy

Thumb of 2016-09-11/Raven/e4c9b6 STRAWBERRY CANDY--rebloom.

Thumb of 2016-09-11/Raven/7d582b seedling--this plant amazes me--a continuous bloomer, keeps sending up scapes.

I know I have posted these before but it is so nice to have some blooms here into the middle of September. It has been so dry that, if I weren't watering, I would have struggling plants. Even so, it is easy to see which plants handle the drought by the look of the foliage.

Nice, Raven! My very last daylily bloomed opened today and it was When My Sweetheart Returns. Seems appropriate since there will not be a daylily returning (to bloom) until next summer Sad

Laura - Wow! Pretty impressive! I wished I live close enough to come over and take those prolifs off your hands! I have very good luck with prolifs!

Lovely late blooms, everyone!

I've had a few seedlings blooming here and there. Not a lot but some. So my daylily season isn't completely over yet either. Smiling

@Twixanddud thanks for the update. The Jury Is Out look promising.I cut most of my prolifs off and plant then next to the mother plant if there's room. Easier for me to keep up with them that way. Some of those are huge. You can get the roots started while the scape is still attached to the clump.
Lovely blooms Raven, Ginny and Charlie. Thirties Thumbs down

@profesora All your blooms are gorgeous. I especially love that Outer Space and Big Rose Platter Lovey dubby

@barbalee I did some googling on the Tiger Stripes coreopsis ..... do you replant it every year? OR does it reseed itself for you?

@twixanddud Love that Glory to His Name! Looks like The Jury's Out was loaded with blooms.

I attempted to plant my first two prolifs yesterday. I just cut the stems off and placed them in a pot of potting soil............ will that work? Guess it is a little late to ask now.......... but thought I would try it and see what happened!

@kidfishing that Pyewacket is lovely...............sounds like Elmer Fudd named it. Big Grin

That Sunny Intervals looks like a great one to add to the wish list as well.

Bet that Hotter than the Fourth of July wondered where it woke up at ............... not ready for temps quite that cool!
