Good grief ... I thought I was being careful. I was on level ground and just pulling the last little bit of root from a rose I had dug out. There is no way I could have known that little bit of root went down another foot and when I pulled, I had to pull hard. When it let go, it let go fast and down I went. I am so glad no one saw me ...

You know you are old when...
You paid a bill on-line and marked the payment on your register. But then come to find out, you didn't pay the bill after all. So you vow, next time, you'll be sure to pay the bill before marking it paid on your check register.

I'm always asking the kids and grandkids how to work their remotes. And what's really bad is when they come to your house and mess up your remote and you finally call the tech to figure out how to get your tv back

LOL -- we had to do something very similar for my MIL when she was well into her 90s; not only was she really old, but she had macular degeneration and couldn't see very well. We eventually found a remote for people with low vision, that really only had 4 or 5 buttons on it... but she still had a lot of difficulty with it. Once a person gets to be REALLY old (not like all of us youngsters ) it seems to be pretty hard to adapt to new technology.

I guess time catches up with everybody. They turned 76 this years.

No, I would have fall asleep for the Packers at 20. Unless they were playing Cowboys or Oilers.
