I feel the same about the tonic water the doc told me to drink before bed. Like your pill, it's the quinine that's supposed to help. But I believe it's nothing more than snake oil. I drank a glass before bed and still had a pretty bad spasm and my muscle and tendons are still tight. (And I took a muscle relaxant immediately).

But, I've only had one PT session so hope that future ones will help. I go again tomorrow.

Lily and I just returned from our long 4 mile exercise walk. Didn't realize when I started out that we would go so far but as we got into walking I felt like I wanted to continue. Lily always wants to continue! Hilarious!

Tomorrow it is supposed to be very rainy so I really wanted to get in a good exercise walk today.

I have store bought cole slaw, rotisserie chicken, store cooked slab of ribs all of which I went and bought early this afternoon so no cooking for me tonight.

I'm sorry to hear of another leg cramp, Karen. I hope it feels better soon.

We took a brisk walk along the Ottawa River this morning for an hour. I wore my gardening clothes and worked about 4 hours in the garden afterwards. Still a few things that I must do before we fly on Saturday - like planting garlic.

When did we get the new look here?

We went for a walk today. Today was the first Saturday in at least a month where no one was having a garage sale. We went past an estate sale one Saturday and people were lined up at the door.

I have been busy, Thursday we got the trailer ready for winter, had to do some cleanup, remove clothing, linen, anything that can freeze. Then we took it to the sani dump to empty the holding tanks, re park which is not easy, but DH did a good job and got it in on the first try. Next we emptied out water lines and refilled everything with antifreeze. It's a big job and I'm glad it's done.

Yesterday I worked in the garden doing cleanup, and darn if I didn't tweak my back a bit, seems to be mostly ok today.

Running around. Packing. Doing errands. I expect we'll get an airport walk this afternoon when we get to Toronto and await our flight to Milan.

Have a wonderful trip, Ann.

Margaret, I'm sorry about your back pain. I'm still suffering with the leg thing, too. It's a real bummer as we're expecting out of town guests this week and I have a lot I want to do. Angry

Thanks. Now killing time in Toronto Airport. Have another 90 minutes or so before boarding the flight to Milan. DH has lounge privileges; so we were able to get something to eat here and have a comfortable wait. And, as predicted, it was a looooong walk through the terminal to the International departures area.

Ugh! Last year we caught our connecting flight to Dublin in Toronto. That airport was awful. Customs was awful. The lines were endless. There were no waiters in the bar/ restaurant. You had to order on an iPad, but the wireless didn't work. We had to walk miles. It wasn't a pleasant connection. Hilarious!

Karen - what airline were you flying with?

We came all the way on Air Canada; so we were entirely in Terminal 1. But we also have some privileges because DH is a Million Miler with AC. If I fly alone, w/o him, I go cattle class like the rest. The lounge is well worth it. But Toronto is a very large, very busy airport. We don't go through it if we don't have to. US customs is awful if we go to a US destination through Toronto (Phoenix last Feb.) Ottawa is mush smaller and it's easier to clear US customs there if we can, but because it's smaller, we don't have as many direct destinations available.

Still, I think Toronto might be preferable to making a connection at O'Hare.

Anyway, we are safely in Milan and I'm about to take a nap as I don't sleep on planes.

We were flying Air Canada, originating in Cincinnati, connecting in Toronto, then to Dublin. My son flew from Seattle , met us in Toronto, and flew to Dublin on the same flight. Yes, customs was awful and after all, the trip involved 3 countries. The 12 days in Ireland were wonderful, but the travel, not so much.

I used to love to fly, but since 9-11, it has become dreadful almost everywhere.

Another day in a series of gloomy and rainy days.

My friend came by with Lily's friend Zack so us two ladies and the two dogs did go for a one mile walk. But that was it. I didn't even work on the garden as it is so gloomy. I was hoping tomorrow will be better and I can get out to do gardenwork again.

After our friends left I went inside and have been catching up on bookeeping inside. Caught up on balancing the checkbook. Not really a fun job.

My husband doesn't cook, and he's a disaster with laundry, his cleaning leaves a lot to be desired, but, by God, he handles the money and I'm so thankful for that! OK, it doesn't always actually "balance", but he makes sure it's not too far out of whack.

I just hate messing with money, bank accounts, retirement accounts, insurance, ... any kind of paperwork really... I'd rather scrub toilets all day than deal with paperwork.
