Just got back from Madison with a trailer load of plants for the g'house. Now to unload and prune before I put them in. One more load to go pick up, but those are local and I hope I can do that tomorrow.

I took a slow walk on the treadmill this morning, the first I had exercised in a week or more. (The PT told me to hold off until the day of my therapy, so I did it this morning before my PT session). I took it easy, just a 25 minute mild, but I was even sore and tight after that. That trigger point in my leg just won't go away. Angry

I'm sorry your leg isn't doing better, Karen.

We are going to the Los Angeles Arboretum today. We'll be walking around for an hour or so.

I have a hardy hydrangea bush I HAVE to plant today, but I still do not know where I am going to put it. LOL

Right now I'm going to paint a piece of plywood to make a sign for our lasagna supper at church in 2 weeks. (Oh, gads...........2 weeks???? I better get crackin'............I'm making the lasagna. Rolling on the floor laughing )

I made a sign for our ice cream social last year and put it on the church lawn beside the road. Nobody knows who did it......................except my BFF Norma..........I told her. It's funny, some of the church peeps are convinced it is one of the guys in the church that did it. The hard part is going to do it when there isn't much traffic, or someone from the church that would drive by and catch me in the act. :>)

Been mostly MIA during the Viola Congress which wound up with a 5 pm concert this evening. We've done a lot of walking around this small city, much of it on cobblestones. And one of the regular concert locations we 3 floors up by stairs. We did those several times each day. Tomorrow, a train back to Milan and then a faster train to Florence. I'm starting to edit pictures. Might get a chance to work on that while on the train. I know the train back to Milan has no Internet but I don't know about the Intercity fast train.

Took my exercise walk with my dog Lily. We only did 2 miles as we had to get out between rain showers. So that was the best we could do.

Just as well it rained and I didn't do much in the garden. I have been working very hard in the garden lately. Pruning shrubs and removing some shrubs, moving some shrubs. So really a day off the hard work was fine by me.

I walked a slow mile in the sunshine today. Still taking it slow and easy on the legs/ feet.

Ann, your vacation sounds wonderful.

We went for a walk.

Happy Thanksgiving to the Canadians. (I used to have a Thanksgiving cactus the bloomed most of the time on Canadian Thanksgiving.) What foods are traditional for you?

Kelli, we had ham, cheesy scalloped potatoes, beets with a balsamic glaze, mustard mayo cauliflower/broccoli, and pease pudding in the pot, and cranberry sauce. Some have turkey or roast beef, we like to have the turkey at Christmas.

Since the rain is gone it was back to work out on the garden again. More shrub pruning and a lot of digging out of shrubs there in the woodsy area at the southern property line. I am none too speedy as it is hard work. Well, I am slowly getting it done and the area will soon (I hope very soon) look really nice.

The grassy pathway along there will now be wider and easier to navigate. I do have to put out grass seed.

We went for a walk. Yesterday when we went for a walk, we saw that they were getting ready to film something at an office complex that we pass. They had one lane of the road closed off and were putting in fake bushes. You'd think it would be better just to find a section of street that already had bushes.

Sounds interesting Kelli, maybe if the drought continues people in CA will need fake bushes and flowers.

I have still been at it working each day at the garden work needs doing. Have been doing major shrub pruning and some of these branches look like small trees! Then I have to bundle them up for yard waste pickup and that is more work.

Of course I also have to take my dog on our daily exercise walk so really I have been doing plenty. The muscles always end up complaining!!
