Christine, I'm glad you said something. I hadn't checked the Panasonic site in a week or so and I figured I'd check it since you reminded me. And the status changed from "in progress" to "completed"! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!

Now, I'm going to call them tomorrow and see if they shipped it and if they have a tracking number. I mailed it to them insured because that thing isn't cheap!

By the way, if anyone can ID my pollinator up there, I'd appreciate it. I have a guess, but I keep forgetting and getting them wrong so I don't want to say. *Blush*

Hey bee folks, can you help the user in this thread: The thread "Can you help ID?" in Gardening for Butterflies, Birds and Bees forum

They are trying to ID the insects on a calendar and November is driving me crazy because I know I know what that is! So help us both out!

The young Bearded Dragon wandered through today munching on my violets. He is probably in the garden full time now. I have lost track of his movements while I was in Melbourne.

Dirt, did you click on the zoom button? You can see the pics pretty well if you zoom on them. One of them reminds me of that bug we called the "bottle opener" bug, but it looks like it has more markings on it.

I had the same problem Melanie, not big enough pics to identify the insects on the calendar.

Love the snowy pics. Lovey dubby

Ronnie, they are so cute. I usually have one resident but I can never be sure if it is the same one.

I'm going to join your juncos Dirt, but I'm going to beat you on the temp. When I checked, it said 1F. That's with windchill. It's now warmed up to 17, and due to go down to 6 tonight.

I don't put feeders out during what I now call chipmunk season because I had such problems with them nesting up against the foundation of my home--I don't want to encourage them to settle back in. But during winter, when our feathered friends need a bit of extra food and the munkies are snug in their homes, I keep a feeder filled.

Today I had a wonderful tizzy of tufted titmouses, a couple of content cardinals, and a display of dark-eyed juncos. The cardinals are very shy and fly away at the slightest sign of movement inside my glass door, and the titmouses refused to hold still! But the juncos were quieter and even hunkered down and fluffed up while waiting their turns so I got some okay pictures.

One day, maybe I'll have a decent camera, either on my phone or not but for now, these are the best I can do. Hope you enjoy them!

I know, but my bird pictures aren't very good. I think that for the most part, it would be difficult to ID them just from my pictures. And they are visitors to my garden, as limited as my garden is (or, sort of non-existent in this weather Smiling ).

Would you rather things like this go to the bird thread instead?

There are no hard and fast rules, and believe me, your pics are fine! Everybody says they have bad pics but they don't! I just thought the birds folks would like to see your pictures. A lot of them don't come to this thread so they wouldn't see them. That's all. No biggie!

@dirtdorphins always takes great photos, and today one of them is featured on the NGA Facebook page. The caption on Facebook says, "Ever seen such a beautiful close up of a flower like this?" I like the pollinator, myself! Thumbs up

Christine, usually when something like that happens, it's a format issue. Are there certain formats that are accepted for upload here, and some that aren't? Do you know what the format is of your newer pictures?
