I think I see some long horned bees on those sunflowers.

They sure do have long horns don't they? And they look like they're getting their whole bodies coated in pollen instead of just their legs.

I love the diversity of bees that visit sunflowers.

If I understand correctly, the long horned bees with the long horns are males and the long horned bees with short horns are the females.

I actually saw one of the long horned bees digging a hole a few days ago.

Bee at the watering hole -

Big bee on a big sunflower heavy pollinated bee
and a honey bee in some mint 2 bee or not to be... (or, the big and the little)

That looks like big fat female long horned bees on the purple thing and the last sunflower. Only the males have the "long horns".

They've been digging holes in the dirt in my yard, but that's ok by me.
