Ours was $102 last month, Ginny. Glare That does also include the sewer bill which is very high here. The bill this month will be more. Thumbs down

ikr!! Crying I can only go outside long enough to [not] run over snakes (another one!!) and take pics of the flowers. I was working in the yard yesterday and the day before trying to get those plants in -- it was horrible. With all this rain and the residual rain we'll get from the tropical storm (if any), things will be humid for a long time.

This may kill my two already struggling lavender plants.... Sad

Oh my goodness. I should feel very very lucky. Ours is $21!!! (But we're on a septic system, so we don't pay the sewer fees, which can be outrageous!) We also didn't have to water much before I put 75 plants in Rolling on the floor laughing So I'm sure it'll change as the season progresses. I'll be sure to keep you posted! Whistling

Good morning --

Currently 75 degrees, 30.04 in of pressure and SW winds at 7 mph. With a dew point of 72 degrees, we have light fog and are at 88% humidity Crying Currently under a flash flood watch but only a 30% chance of rain in my area.

High of 86, which will feel more like 90+ but the winds will pick up to about 15 mph, so hopefully that'll will help with some ventilation.

I could be wrong, but I think our water rates are around $400 for two months in summer. That probably includes sewer. It's a bone of contention that the sewer rate is based on the water usage. In the San Fernando Valley, a lot of water is used in the yard and does not go into the sewer. In the L.A. Basin, the yards are smaller so more water is used in the house and thus goes into the sewer. As usual, the Valley is subsidizing the L.A. Basin. The Valley is a cash cow for the L.A. Basin. They even send their homeless people up here.

They are calling for a high of 88F. It will probably be 90F at my place.

Kelli our sewer rates are based on the amount of water we use in December, January, and February. I try very hard to water little then and there are no long showers etc. When they first started doing this you could give them a count of the number of plants you water, ( 100's here) and that would get you a reduction in the bill because as you said that water is NOT going into the sewer. Of course the corrupt politicians changed all that so now we pay a lot. Angry

Here in North Carolina we have been blessed with the most rain I have seen in 37 years. As a consequence, the daylilies are flourishing and blooming like crazy. We had over 600 flowers in our garden three days ago. I think that may have been the peak because today there was a little over 300 flowers. The water is starting to get annoying because instead of falling in the evening, it has started to rain the the mornings aroud 7 AM as well. That tends to mess with the flowers and pollen. I am not complaining too much. I remember in 2001 when we were down a year's worth of precipitation, and the water bill for July alone was $218.00!!

Yesterday was another good day, mostly sunny, highs in the 70's. Late last evening it clouded up and the humidity started creeping in. A warm 61 this morning with a t-storm, another 4/10's added to the rain gauge, then the sun came out making it even more humid. High was 87 I think.

You've given me hope Greg that all this rain we've had will produce the best bloom season ever. The plants are huge with scapes just starting to poke up.

Reading all the water bill posts...we own both, our 2 wells and septic. Made the last mortgage payment a few weeks ago....now we own the whole kit and kaboodle. Smiling

Sunny. NW wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

I am so glad to not have a water bill!

Saturday. I did get the yard mowed yesterday and the birdbaths filled. It's been beautiful here. Just a few clouds of pesky gnats to walk thru.
