Supposedly L.A. has so much electricity that they (meaning me) are paying Arizona to take it. This city is run by idiots.

It was 109F yesterday and they are calling for a high of 101F today. They were calling for a 101F yesterday, too. Let's have a great big 'Yuck!'

I totally agree L.A. is run by idiots and I see no change in the future for you guys. Thumbs down

Our electric rates just went up by $11.50 a month just as the heat hits. Why are our rates going up if you guys are giving them money to take your excess electricity ?????

The temperature here has been beautiful for the last week or so, and the forecast for the next week is the same, with temperatures in the upper sixties to the mid seventies f. We have been getting rain almost every day. Not all day rain, but downpours every now and then. The garden is loving it, and everything is huge this year. I would like to see less rain, but I will take what we are getting over the drought we had last year!

Yesterday and today have been simply gorgeous with mild temperatures! High wind gusts yesterday, but I'll take that over high heat and humidity without any breeze!! We reached only 71 degrees today! Thumbs up Thumbs up There was a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms this afternoon, but all we got were some dark clouds here and there. The DH felt one single drop on his arm this afternoon, and he said, "I feel rain".... Glare Really, now? Rolling on the floor laughing I said, come back when there's more than a hard drizzle, and I'll show ya rain, DH!! Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

Tomorrow and Wednesday will be just as nice, and Thursday brings in the rain. Smiling Lots to do before then!! Crossing Fingers!

I'll up them one... pizza, ice cream (Ben & Jerry's)... and temps in the 50's. Big Grin

Been a bit crazy catching up on stuff the past few days. Weather has been super nice, 50's for lows and 70's for highs. Sunny with big puffy clouds and an afternoon shower. At least that is how it was...today was 53/72 with a cold nip in the breeze. Felt more like fall than summer. Other areas west of us have had severe t-storm warnings off and on all day. Just as the news was going off at 7 they came on the tv and said all severe warnings for Vermont had expired and the storms were gone. Ha, right. I looked out the window to see big black clouds and these low grey ones that were coming fast. Hail. My squash leaves look like swiss cheese Crying Took a quick look at the daylilies and they seem ok. I'm sure they will show some leaf damage once the wounds dry. We have a chance for t-storms every day for the next week. Crossing Fingers! no more hail!

Crossing Fingers! for no more hail for you, Char.
Today we had thunderstorms on and off all day. Some very dark, ominous clouds and heavy downpours with thunder and lightening. Thankfully, nothing too bad and only a brief power outage. We went out and bought groceries during a break in the afternoon. It was really cool, too, with a high in the upper fifties f. I hope tomorrow is better.

All that's left on the new garden is to edge it and add a border stone and then finish mulching to the edge. Hurray! Hurray! its supposed to rain the rest of the week but we'll see. We really need it. We were running late but still got the ice cream Thumbs up

Showers and T-storms likely. Some storms could be severe, with large hail, damaging winds, and heavy rain. Cloudy. Breezy, with a S wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

It's currently raining with lightning and thunder. I am glad. I transplanted some of my historic iris and hadn't watered them in yet.

Kelli, your politicians must be related to ours. Freaking Idiots . I just don't know how they can always get away with screwing things up so badly and still stay in power. For example, our government commissioned 2 gas fired power plants ........then the plan was scrapped altogether ....was supposed to cost 210 million dollars to scrap the plants as they were already in the construction stage .......ultmately the cost of cancelling these plants topped 1.1 billion dollars for cancelling the contracts WHAT??????.

Electricity is no better !
There is a constant campaign here to conserve energy. Buy this lightbulb or that appliance that are energy efficient , turn off lights when not in room etc .

Then the powers that be tell us our rates are going up because we didn't use enough of the electricity that was produced last winter . WHAT ???????? Since when do you have to pay for something you dont use????? Seems we do !

The extra electricity we make here is also sold to the USA at pretty much give away prices (price is so low it is like we are giving it away )while we here in Ontario pay some of the highest rates for electricity in Canada .

The politicians are about as reliable and accountable as the Weather Guesserators out there .

Still no rain here. Cracks in the ground are getting bigger .....daylilies are stunted but lots of scapes and buds so those of you with excess rain .......send some our way please. Tired of watching it go north and south of us.

Signet here in Tucson we were told to lower the amount of water we were using in the city a few years back. You know the living in the desert, conserve water speech. People did a really good job at that but because of that the water companies revenue's went down so guess what ??? Yup, they had to raise the rates thus punishing people that did what they asked! Angry

I think these idiots keep getting reelected because so few people vote any more especially in local elections. Crying
