Like the leaf patterns. Mine are the plain not Variegated. I like the shape and dimension it add .
I’m so busy... “I don’t know if I found a rope or lost a horse.”

Looked at my SD's today and saw one was gone, hopefully it just went dormant before the other and that I did not lose it.
Julia I hope you get some seeds from those. I have never gotten fruit . not even on the native ones.

Wow
that is neat, have they changed color ?
do you know who the father is ?
if they are soft ? now is a good time, and take more picts
are they indoors or outdoors ?
have you looked at the early images i did of the seed ?
i have some this year already in media waiting and figure they will go another 3 months before i see anything happen
make sure to clean the seed really good and use as sterile a media as possible and
the most important thing of all is
.
.
TAKE pictures

I'm thinking it's a self pollination because my other podophyllums are on the other end of the house. I'll get some more pictures in the morning. The plant is outside. I'll harvest after my trip and take pictures of the process.

Sorry for late reply - I've been out of town.
My Hunan looks about the same as in spring - this is a shot from my cellphone today.
I see Hunan is again offered by Yuzawa Engei nursery in Japan for 1800 yen, which by my calculation is just $17. But of course there's packaging/shipping, etc.

I always put in an order for a variety of woodland plants rarely available here and will be placing an order soon.

This is what was inside the Red Panda fruit. Don't think these are mature seeds.

i seem to remember somewhere in the past someone wrote that the red Panda is supposed to be self sterile
not sure why or if it is true, but many of the Podophyllum's are self sterile, and only crossed with another specie works
and those look very much like the bad seed i saw the first time 3 or 4 years ago, when i tried pollinating spotty dotty with another spotty dotty Smiling

Someone you might want to get in touch with who has decades of experience with these type of woodland plants is Ian Young. He's very well self educated regarding Erythronium, Crocus and Narcissus to name a few. He grows Podophylum in his garden too, but to what extend he's knowledgeable in this genus you'll have to ask him yourself.

Here's a link to his youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channe...

And his 'Bulb log' on the Scottish Rock Garden Club site:
http://www.srgc.org.uk/logs/

Very inspiring as I've read several myself.
