My Coelogyne Golden Bug is a happy camper and blooms now in two different directions.

The spikes on my Stenorrhynchos speciosum (syn millei) are now nicely opening. Spiranthes on steroids?

And here is a new one; Laelia endsfeldzii, bought last February at the Deep Cut Orchid Show. The buttercup-yellow blooms are charming on gracefully bending almost 2 feet long spikes. ( 2 spikes on the first blooming for me)

Wow, that Stenorrhynchos is fantastic. I've never seen it before. Incredible! I like the Coelogyne as well.

My Scl. (Schombolaeliocattleya) Memoria Doug Lace 'Rosminah' finally opened yesterday. I wonder if it is some sort of a Myc. by now? Anyway:

Also, Carol's Gerberara 'Snow Ballet' is looking good. Note the color difference between new and old flowers.

Miss Floof, Blc. Chia Lin 'New City' has yet another flower.

Beautiful show, Jim, and you have really got the hang of that new camera! I'm glad the Gerberara is doing so well for you. The mother plant is about done for awhile and waaay overdue for dividing. I think I'll need the hatchet!

Thumb of 2012-01-16/bree/a9ba2b the scent of Lc. Fireball flame is strong and yummy sort of like cinnamon. The lip of this is alot pinker than photos show. Every photo i take the lip looks the same colour as the rest of the flower, when there really nothing alike.

Very nice, Bree. I agree, those red ones can be difficult to photograph.. Yet another beautiful slipper...I wish I had your skill in growing them.

Great ones Bree!!!!! My Lc. Loog Tone 'African Beauty' was almost impossible to capture. Just keep trying. Do you have different light settings on your camera? Try them all if you do.

Psychopsis Mendenhall, both normal and alba forms are blooming. The alba isn't quite open all the way but good contrast.

Always my favorites!

I took some more Angraecum sesquipedale pictures today. I wound up placing it into the living room window, as I had done last year. And there were the pics in the greenhouse, on the living room table, in the kitchen with white board as backdrop and some more....
Two large spikes on the mother plant and there is even a tiny second spike on the larger keiki. 2 more buds to open...

Here is one Orchid I am tickled pink to have it blooming again. This is Dendrobium Love Memory 'Fizz'
I saw these nobile type Dendrobiums in different colors last March at Longwood Garden ( SEPOS) for sale. I had bought so much stuff that time that I didn't take one along then, but regretted it little on the way home. The next week I spotted some of the same Dens in bloom at Trader Joe's and so I had to buy one. Here it is now in bloom again 10 month later!! Smiling And it added a lot of new growth over the Summer.

I don't blame you, that's a very nice Dendrobium! Speaking of Angraecum sesquipedales 'Star of Bethlehem', I had been protecting a large rabbit's foot fern in the greenhouse but the weather is better so I moved it outside today. When I did, I discovered another blooming Angraecum sesquipedales that I didn't even remember I had. Here she is and the second pic is her reunited with her sister.
