Ahh, to be organized! My immediate family has not yet decided WHERE Thanksgiving will be, let alone given any thought to a menu... although that kind of takes care of itself: bird, spuds, dressing, gravy, rolls, pie, whatever else shows up.

I bet you all won't believe this but today I found a quarter! What's going on??? Last December I found a folded up $100 bill. At first I felt bad for whoever lost it but later I thought but what if a bad person lost it? And then I felt better.

Finding money is a good thing. Hurray! Hurray!

Look.
I was walking the dog (Jack) one morning and found a $100 bill. Of course, when I found the second $100 bill I got very suspicious. Here are the two bills.
Thumb of 2017-11-16/greene/fb219f

Since there are lots of movies filmed in the Savannah area. I should have know better.
Duh. D'Oh!

Looking more closely at the two $100 bills, I see...

Well, I may not be $200 richer, but at least I have a souvenir from the film industry. Thumbs up

That was then; this is now. It's a whole new world at the laundromat now. We must preload everything, add money (or a card) and push start. After that, all we can do it wait for it to be over.

We still have the old coin operated machines here.
Where I am now for years we had a laundromat machine with the coin box but the switch was set so you did not need coins.

Today I did NOT garden. I drove to Sam's Club and purchased lovely food items to make my life easier...for tomorrow...when I will head out in the yard and get some work done.

Another day of not gardening outside. Fertilized our African violets, want to get another round of flowers.
Is anybody starting to receive garden catalogs in the mail yet???

Didn't get much of anything done today. Still a little down with this cold in my chest and sinus. DH and I went to a couple towns and did errands. Was hoping to put up some Christmas Décor outside tomorrow and over the weekend but weather sounds not good. Falling temps, high wind, and moisture. Guess I will stay in where it is warm tomorrow and do some much needed house cleaning.

What I did NOT to in the garden today:

Have to get ready for the HVAC technician who is arriving sometime on Monday.
The first project is to install a new handle for the pull-down attic stairs. Bought the stuff, drilled some holes, cursed my Dyslexia, grabbed the dogs and went back to Home Depot. That job will be finished later today and I'll post a photo.

I also have to clean the area around the outdoor HVAC unit (technically I supposed that counts as gardening? but to me, it's like housework. Thumbs down )

Today I was getting ready for my nephew's 1st birthday party. I was amazed to see him today looking all excited and bouncing around. He is so adorable. But now, I will be getting ready for thanksgiving. I can't wait to spend time with the family and feast on thanksgiving food. I will be stuffing myself full of turkey, mashed potatoes, and stuffing, yummy. Plus some of grandma's pumpkin pie. OOH it's the best pie ever.

Today was an oil change, gas, air in tires, grocery shopping, and after I feed the rabs their bedtime salads (all organic always) I'm Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz... I'm getting old-none of today's errands should make me so tired. Just worn out. Sheesh!

Today was the eye doctor in Des Moines then stopped for lunch on the way home. Went to work and did a real estate closing. Won 2 daylilies on the LA so I suppose that would be gardening Hilarious! Hilarious!

I'm NOT trimming bushes today because it's raining and dreary today. Getting groceries for the Thanksgiving dinner and getting bedrooms ready for guests for the holiday.
Dinner is at our house for Thanksgiving this year and on Thursday. We do potluck and I do the meat and potatoes and pies. My sister will tell me everything she would have done differently, her daughter will get upset because she and her mom aren't getting along, DH will get frustrated, and DD and nephew's should be fine. Brothers can't come and my DD from Kentucky won't be here. We have friends that jokingly tell DH his room is ready at their house if he gets too frustrated Hilarious! Hilarious! My sister stays all weekend and this year is coming on Wednesday night. Prayers welcome Whistling Whistling Angel Hilarious!

Here are the photos of what I did NOT do in my garden yesterday. I had to replace the broken rope that allows for the attic stairs to be pulled down. Bad photo but I'm proud of the work I accomplished.
Thumb of 2017-11-18/greene/43a27c

Hard to see in that photo, but this is what is used as the new handle.
It's a Husky 18-inch Hang All.
https://www.homedepot.com/p/Hu...

I'm fairly tall and can reach the new handle by standing on my toes, but if someone happens to be shorter...there is a lightweight cane hanging nearby to make it easier to reach.

Doing the trim carpentry is a job for some other day that I am NOT working in the garden. Indoor carpentry is good winter job. Thumbs up

I was supposed to stay indoors today and clean the house. Was going to post my adventures on here. The horizontal surfaces, to be exact. But I snuck outside to repot one Peace Lily and that was the end of that! I got inside around 5.
