One job always leads to another, and so on! It's very easy to spend the whole day outside taking care of various things. Rolling my eyes.

OK. I did bring the ladder inside and turned back the ONE clock left that needed changing. I got fooled by it once. Got to bed only to see it was 7:30 not 8:30. I was tired and wanted to go to bed early but not THAT early! I also cleaned up DH's Birthday mess off the table.

Yes, we do! Once a year you get a day allllll to yourself. This year, DH turned 65. He had junk mail, emails, phone calls, insurance people hounding us at the door since summer. Everyone seemed to know he was turning 65. I thought all that was left to tell was the neighborhood. He actually clapped when he saw it. Thumbs up

Good for you, Cheryl! I know, the online and junk mail assaults start around age 55 and keep on coming.. ARRP, hearing aid offers, cremation societies, and the list goes on. it would be so nice if we could opt out of junk mail.

I quite my job of 10 years, and am totally worthless while winding down two weeks notice. But when this is over, my yard will be my sanctuary. Can't wait.

I'll be 65 in February. Got my Medicare stuff in the mail the other day but I never get calls and all that. One thing I've been noticing is that I'd rather sleep than anything. It's like I've fallen in love with sleep. Kinda weird.

It's something you need to give attention to @Saltflower. Living is being awake some. When sleep threatens to overcome being awake most of the day, there is something happening. Be well.

I mean who doesn't love a good nap, I get that. But just in case this is not just a good nap, Living is being awake some. If you feel at all concerned, see a doc asap. If I am just being overly concerned, I apologize. I can be a real worry wort.

I did not dig two large holes for a couple of new bare footed fruit trees that I expect any day now..ooops, instead went for a wander to local garden centre that has morphed into a Christmas Grotto, ho no ho, get it hoe, hoe , hoe ....never mind. Smiling

Thanks. It's not that I'm sleepy, it's just that from the moment I wake up I look forward to bedtime and I go to bed so early it's unreal. I just had a bunch of blood tests and am OK. Maybe just getting old.

That really doesn't seem normal. You should mention it to your doctor again, despite the normal blood tests.

@Saltflower Both DH and I had too much sleep issues and feeling tired. Though I always require more than normal amount of sleep, the tiredness killed me. DH was tired of being in bed all the time. Our Vitamin D levels were very low. $3 Rx 50,000 units of Vitamin D for 8 weeks brought us back up to proper levels. Immediately, we felt better! Now I take small OTC doses daily. Have that blood test taken. Our doc says for some reason too much sun screen, lack of outside exercise and sunshine has suddenly made Vit. D deficiency and issue with adults.

I am not 65. I am reading articles about taking SS early so I can cut way back on work. I have been on leave since I stepped on that rusty nail last Dec. And extended my leave to help DH with his recent cancer since he cannot drive. It has been a trial period of no income on my end and living off DH's SS. We seem to do okay! I am surprised. Adding my SS and working 15% would be amazing! I would get to spend all my time in my yard ignoring house cleaning!
