Yup, my daffodils are in window box containers Big Grin I have often read that these bulbs should be tossed away after the first bloom, but this one seems to be enjoying it there, just letting them bloom and die in that container and so far this will be their 3rd year.
A wider view of the daffy, there are some hycainths in this box too, waiting to bloom:

I have another window box container also with daffodils but got entangled with some succulents, but seems to enjoy it as well Big Grin I planted them together, coz daffy's do not last long anyways, so the rest of the year just the succulents in the box.

I have some Tulipa 'Little Beauty' coming up through a mat of Sedum that is just now breaking dormancy. Looks like they will get along well together. I planted this little tulip last fall, can't wait for it to bloom. I love the foliage.

Thanks, Tarev! I think I've been overly concerned about daff bulbs freezing in smaller containers.. I found some recently that I think a squirrel dragged around, hardly any dirt on them, just sitting by the deck, and they were fine, had grown both roots & sprouts! It would be nice to take those last few bulbs in fall and just stick them into pots!

Lynn, 'Little Beauty' is probably my all time favorite tulip, and I think it's going to look stunning against the red-purple of that sedum! What a great idea!

I planted them in one of my raised semp beds. This will be my first time to see them bloom.
I also have my fall planted Muscari Golden Fragrance that is coming up in the same bed.

Jill, you beat me on daffodil blooms. Here are some of my Rijnveld's Early Sensation. But they only started about two days ago.

These are in the mix of 200 long trumpets that I bought from Scheepers two years ago. They start from earlies to lates but only those earlies are up and blooming. Too soon for the rest. Over on the other side of the yard I have a section of 100 of the Rijnveld's Early Sensation all by themselves and those have not started blooming yet.

Most of the daffs in my yard are only poking their little green leaves thru now like this-

Hyacinths are so pretty but I don't have any here. I just keep planting more daffodils (and tulips).

Tulips can be a real pain. Daffs come back nicely but tulips don't always last long. I really love tulips and daffs both though so I just keep planting both. Means I have lots of daffs here and we will see how the tulips do.
