I agree with your assessment, my Marias were forced inside; they'll end up outside and will rebloom next year or the following year out there.

Spring is really here. Warm and lovely today. I have the first of the daffs open in my southside rose bed and also in the front yard I see that in my long trumpet collection (from Scheepers) I have some white and yellow two colored ones just about to open all the way as they are partially open now.

This is such an early spring. I have had a very few years were the daffs start mid March (but not earlier) and most years they start anywhere from early to mid April. Not this year! Whistling Hilarious! But honestly, I do have plenty that are just breaking ground now or just up slightly, while others are blooming and still others are showing buds. Really weird!

Odd here, too. Usually I have some other early daffs blooming with my "yellow jonquils for naturalizing" (first daffs I planted here! LOL), but this weekend it was just them, 'RES', and one clump of early mini's. Loads and loads of shoots and sprouts all over, though, and tons of crocus blooms plus some little Iris reticulata.
We're all learners, doers, teachers.

I still only have the 'Tete-a-Tete' narcissus blooming in the border, but rain on Sunday caused the 'King Alfred' daffodils around my pond to grow overnight.

Sorry about the looks of the net over the pond - it's to keep out leaves and the heron that keeps eating my fish.

I have been working on it for years adding more each fall. Not done yet, still spots to fill but that seems to be the way it is in any garden. I do love daffs and tulips too!

Wow, this string of warm days and the warm weather is really causing the daffs to open. Even more blooms today than yesterday and folliage on the others that are way behind is starting to jump up quickly. I see bloom buds coming on many.
