We've had a major warm spell this past week and I have TONS of sprouts!
my sprouts are:

poppy 'venus'
poppy 'laurens grape'
poppy 'danish flag'
shirley poppies
poor-mans-orchid
calendula
dianthus 'snowdonia white'
candytuft 'fairy mixed'

my larkspur hasn't come up yet though which isn't a surprise as it seems to hate me! But I am very excited to see all the other sprouts!

Photos Steven, photos. We want to see the zip lock bags with the sprouts. That is such a neat idea.

CajuninKy (Cheryl). Your jugs look so good. How are they doing? Did you do anymore?

JoAnne, if I ever managed to get into my sink like that, it would be permanent. Everytime you post, I feel like I'm right there with you, watching you work as you talk. LOL

Karen, is your weather getting any better. I was going thru my notes called "Karens W/S Notes" and realized that we probably should make a thread of them here.

Steven, I had never heard of "Poor Man's Orchid," so I googled it--Schizanthus Pinnatus is what I found--and I've ordered two different varieties to WS. Thanks for the suggestion! (I love how I learn things here.)
Still not a lot of sprouts yet--some--but crocus are popping up all over and I have hope!

Debbie, I will get pics tomorrow (as long as its not raining!) Big Grin I'll take pics of the ziplock bags and the sprouts!

Emily, you will love the poor-mans-orchid! It has an exotic look to it but is very easy to grow! I used a picture of it for the banner in my cut flowers cubit! Which varieties did you order?

Ha, Joanne--my mom has a window like that over her kitchen sink too, and it also requires that I stand in it to clean that window.

Wow, Lynn--your WS jugs have an awesome guard dog! Can I borrow her to rid my yard of a bothersome possum? Those collards look like they've really taken off. Will you be transplanting them soon?

Hi Steven--Here's the Poor Man's Orchid seeds that I ordered. I've never grown them, but the fact that you are WS them and the beautiful photos convinced me to try.
I probably should stop buying seeds. But it's so fun!

I plan on planting them out next week. They are just starting to get true leaves. I don't think I should move them until they have a good strong set of true leaves?

Emily can't wait to see a picture of your Schizanthus. They are such pretty flowers.
Joanne, that is really funny, because it does look like you are washing your feet. I'm not going to laugh though, because that is how I have to wash mine. Big Grin
Have to use a very tall ladder to do the outside. Blinking
Thanks Allison, I can't wait until I can eat some of them. I try not to scare them by drooling when I look in the jar. Blinking

Emily, one year I even just sprinkled the seeds in some containers and they sprouted! I saw a picture in the DG plantfiles of a bunch of Schizanthus overflowing out of a tub-like planter so that is what I am aiming for this year!
Please be sure to post pics when your sprout!

My husband gets the job of cleaning the kitchen window. He's almost a foot taller than me.
