On my screen the ATP enlargement has shrunk and now measures only 6 1/2" x 5 1/4". It's not much larger than the thumbprint, which is 2 7/8" x 3 1/8".

What's really weird is to go to one of your old blog posts, one that was done more than a week ago.
What happens with those images, or is it something strange that I'm doing?

It was big enough for me to begin with at 10 1/8 wide. The update increased it to 11 3/8. Thumbs up

Dave, I uploaded 4 images in sandbox.
900, 800, 600 and 400 pixels wide. 9, 8 and 600 expand to the same size with 400 smaller.

I'm taking a wild guess here, but it looks like Dave has the pics to expand to actual size up to a certain size. If it goes over a certain size it will expand to the maximum setting. So your first three were at or above the maximum, so they all show at the max. The smaller was below the max so it shows actual size.

I liked them better yesterday when they were larger. All 4 of Jay's photos came up the same size. Yes, I hit shift refresh. Several times.

I posted this 1200 x 900 pic and it expands to 7 5/8 high x 10 1/8 wide. http://garden.org/thread/view_...
All of zuzu's exept the 400 px also come out 7 5/8 high.
It looks like Dave has it set to expand to about 486 pixels as the maximum size. How big it is on your screen will depend on your browser and monitor.

Would I be considered a grump and a reactionary if I said I liked it better before Dave started tinkering with it? *Blush*

There all looking good to me. The only ones that show up small for me are probably ones that are small files to begin with. Smiling

Here is an interesting phenomenon. I used the control button and mouse wheel to increase size of the page as large as I could without the ads interfering and opened the picture. Then I decreased back to a comfortable reading level and opened the picture. The result was - With the screen enlarged the thumbnail was 5 1/4 inches high and opened to only 6 7/8 inches high. With a small browser screen the thumbnail was only 3 1/4 high but the picture opened to 8 inches high.

I agree with Woofie and Allison. There's not much point in enlarging anymore because the thumbnail is already almost as large as the enlargement.

The problem is the size of my monitor, I know, but I don't want to reset the window size because then I'll constantly have to shift from the left to the right to see the whole page. Maybe I'll buy a bigger monitor someday, but not until this one dies.
