Awesome photo of your Hugelcultur bed and beautiful chard plant. That is one healthy plant.

I love this new feature. For me the first time I click on a photo is opens rather slow, if I go back and open that same photo again it opens very fast. Blinking

I'm using Firefox, and photos seem to open much faster for me and look much clearer. (Or maybe photos look clearer because background turns gray?)

This is exactly what is happening for me too. And Zuzu's kitty photo is about 2 inches larger on Cubits. And I think the grey background here does serve to trick the brain into perceiving the photo as a sharper image.
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown

I looked at Zuzu's kitty photo on cubits, the actual photo measured 9 and 1/4 inches wide by 7 inches deep. The photo here opened slowly first time, it's a little frustrating, but the second time it opened straight away. It measured 9 and 1/8 inces wide, 6 and 3/4 inches deep so was only a little smaller. I tried this last night, some opened quickly the second time but others didn't then on another attempt they did. The first opening is the one which matters as most people are not going to open a photo twice just to get it to load more quickly.

My monitor is a widescreen 19" (diagonal), I always have the browser window full width which horizontally is 16" but it's only about 10" deep. I wonder if that makes a difference too. I have IE but it's a BT Yahoo version. I also have a new high spec computer which should be super fast, maybe it's time to clear my cookies.

Karen's lovely photo loaded slowly the first time, the second and third loading was way faster. How strange it that. Blinking Confused

It seems as though the photo has to make a cookie first. I tried Karen's photo too, first was slow, second fast. I just tried it again after some time, it was slow.

The first time you view a image, it has to download the image. Every subsequent view to that same image loads it out of your cache on your hard drive.

Okay, that's back in now.

Also, I disabled the resizing system so you will see the photo in its intended size regardless of the width of your browser.

If you're not seeing the changes, just shift-refresh.
