Woofie, I love those raised beds... really the best thing I did. Next year I want to use those as my containers for the winter sowing. I am going to empty one halfway to accommodate the containers so they don't fly away. It's the perfect size for me. They are extremely heavy but I have them where I need it.
I used those ladders for beans. This year I am going to use one of them for the cukes and see if they go better.
I just planted potatoes today in big nursery pots. My first time planting potatoes and in a pot. I have also one big pot for cherry tomatoes.
Thanks Karen and Allison...wish you guys were close by!!!
It's cold!, but not as bad a predicted, 39°. All my tender stuff is in the rather dark garage. I'll have to weigh them down with bricks again when I bring them out for the 40 mph winds today. (I removed the bricks to carry to garage last night).
We did ok. tons of rain and its still a bit damp... I spent some time organizing my messy garage and cleaning out my stuff from Nursing school.. I can't believe I still have everything including my notes and handouts from school... all Nursing 101 stuff... goodness gracious... so I have a lot of recicling this week... and of course I found so many things that were just hidden... I really don't need to buy anything for a long time...
oh Karen, I still have some plants that I am doing that ... bringing inside for the night regardless... my clivias stayed in the rain but I just checked on them today and they did ok... but less than 45 they come inside...

Nice looking plants, Allison.
I moved a bunch of plants out of the Springhouse today. I have floor space again! The only outdoor plants that are still in the house are some semps and a few Achimenes...at least for the moment.
the agastache is so lame indoors.. should have moved them out sooner.. they all got very floppy.. I trimmed some back to hopefully have a better shape later on.. I do love watching the begonia bonfire wake up... amazing how quick it grows.. the petunia seedlings didn't seem to mind the cooler temps in the greenhouse.. they look very happy
it woke up in the basement a while ago... had to move it out.. wouldn't fit under the shelf anymore.. the pineapple sage was not happy with the cooler temps out there.. but once I trim it back it should look better now... I hope
oh in the container with the bonfire & sage... those are all self sowed agastache babies from my other pots .. guessing the apricot sprite going to be a colorful bunch
