The one I have that died out is just the plain old pink I see all over for sale. So it will be easy to replace. And actually I do see a tiny piece that survived. I had one huge stand and two small ones. The huge stand is completely toast!

Jackie, I go to any nursery I can find! I'm kind of a nursery junkie! And I always head to the "junk shelf" first to see what I can score a bargain on.

Actually I do avoid English Gardens for plants. They are most ridiculously overpriced for plants!! But I do buy vermiculite there sometimes. And soil when they have a sale.

Thank you Lynn! Im happy to have found it myself!

Jennifer, I only have a couple nurseries that I have found that are around me. I as well when at Lowes or home depot will go to the clearance rack to see which plants I can save..... definitely cheaper and I hate to see them just sit there and die. Ive never even heard of English Gardens are here. I know ive asked before (i believe) but what do you use for your soil mix for your hardy semps?

My outdoor ones are just stuck in the regular ground we have. Not very good for them as it is a lot of clay. But they are doing fine so I'm not going to mess with them. Also, they are in full blown sun and they have been fine with that too. If it ain't broke......

But the semps I have in containers outside are in Promix mixed with chicken grit. And chicken grit on top of the soil. I have no idea what soil mix I will use when I replant them to someplace more permanent.

My first delosperma bloom which I can't remember the full name for. Lynn, you said you had one with the word "white" in its name. That is this one's name too. I actually put it into my semp bed and it bloomed a month later. Smiling I put two other small iceplants into the semp bed too but they are on probation, which means they can be kicked out anytime if they don't try to fit in with rest of plants... Whistling

Thanks for the suggestion, Clint but I think the plant, which I bought near frozen from New Mexico (the lady didn't want to sell any of the plants because they were in the stock greenhouse at 25 degrees, but I begged her like the good beggar that I can be) was tagged White Nugget. I just needed to hear the next word after 'white' to jog my memory. Lynn, I remember you posting that name before somewhere and thinking that's what I have. I will label it tomorrow morning...thanks Hurray!

Yes, I brought mine back from CO last spring. I need to check and see if it came through the winter.
Our rain is what can do many of the deslosperma in. It sure doesn't bother D. cooperi though.

Oh gosh...another fixation huh??!! (for me) I don't have any of these yet, I've been trying to "minimize" my interest to keep things "simple" haha - my yard is NOT simple anymore!! Packed in with lovely semps! Can delosperma do okay in shade, or part shade? Just wondering if its a good potential for in my rock wall Shrug!

You'll have to give it a try to see if it will work in shade. The plant may grow okay, just not sure about them blooming?

Delosperma cooperi can take some shade. I'd try it first. It's such a great plant!

Critter, I might have some to trade with you later when it gets going after moving it all 2 weeks ago. It seems to be bouncing back quickly. It is an aggressive grower, and tough as nails.
