I had forgotten how late cosmose bloom.

a few people commented about the flowers while taking the kids house to house... and the photos reminded me how much mulch I lost over the winter in that spot.. was almost gone this past spring.. must just wash down the slope into the driveway as the snow comes and goes

I have a spot like that.Fortunatly its behind the woodpile.When it gets bare the weeds return.

I am such a competition freak. I am almost 98 inches too Allison and I think there are pale pink blooms on one of the plants in that bunch.

This is growing with the dark pinks. It might be Seashells. I had no idea that variety would be over 7 feet tall.

It has clusters of blooms as oposite from the dark pink which put out a long stem and one bloom.
It is a nice surprise.Cant wait to see it full bore.

I see buds forming on the taller one now... will have to get a height today... way bigger than last week

I will try to measure mine. Its much taller too ,probably due to the cool rainy weather. Mine is in bloom with pale pink and deep pink blooms.
There is a bunch of plants in there so that accounts for the 2 colors.
I'm off to measure.
