No problem. Just wanted to make sure you got some fine recommendations. These people grow and hybridize peonies. Buying peonies from someone seriously into peonies is the way to go. The roots are larger and they back them with a guarantee, that who you order is what you'll actually get. Smiling

Anyone having this issue? They have been watered several times since the warm weather hit.Thumb of 2012-07-07/Oldgardenrose/f23675

Aagh! That is warm and they are a cool climate plant.
I have had young plants die off in the heat of summer, but come back with cooler weather.

I have the same two problems, high heat and wilted peonies. I can't think that I have ever had to water herbacious peonies until this year. I have been watering so much, especially the newer planted ones. Sad

These are 2010 plantings in a partially raised bed. Hopefully, they will have stronger stems next year. My older ones do not appear to be as affected by the heat.

I have never seen a limp peony, until this year.
Where are we going, and why am I in this hand-basket?

Yeah, it was pretty ugly out there. The only thing that really grew was the weeds...
