You're too sweet Dianne. I have been working hard weeding though. Sometimes it feels futile. Whew!

I saw Maestro in a row in a field at Klehm's during the peony convention a couple years ago. I immediately fell in love with it. It's funny what different ones you might pick out of a catalog vs. a blooming field. I had my note pad all ready to go.

I also remember loving 'Pink Pom Pom' on the judging table. I bought it and it should bloom this year, very curious to compare the color Adelman's achieved compared to the midwest. The colors that come out the the Pacific Northwest Growers are so vivid and beautiful.

Your peonies are gorgeous Diann. You make me create another list. Smiling Keep them coming.

Remember the potted peony they gave me for my honorable mention award of showing 'Bartzella'? I came to get it late, as I was chatting with someone. Came out and someone had taken the one set aside for me. Lucas (from Hollingsworth) was sweet and apologized and gave me a left over potted peony, but it hadn't had a name on it. Well, blooming now is 'Doreen', the potted peony from the show. I didn't have it before now, very cute and smells especially wonderful! I guess some things are meant to be Smiling

Thanks guys. That bed took about 30 hours of down on all fours weeding and then mulch. But it should be good for a couple years, ya know.. I hired my great-nephew to tote the bags of mulch and do my weed clean-up. We were both pooped when we were done with it yesterday. Only seven more sun beds to go and they will fly now that that big one is done. Smiling

Thank you for the comments.

Here are some more from tonight.

If I have it right, I think this is 'Mrs FDR' I've been waiting from this bloom for years. A little start from Ticker a few years ago and she is a blooming now! So you'll get two pictures, just because I have waited for this sweet flower for so long *Blush* And it smells so nice too. I adore it. Thank you so much Ticker.

Mags, you give me way too much credit. I'd have to go out and look, but, I don't remember that yellow center... Here is a picture of mine.... But she does smell heavenly. You just grow yours better than I do. Some pictures of her have the yellow center and some don't. You take such better care of your plants than I do and they reward you for it.

Who knows. I think I just need a guy like Don Hollingsworth or Lucas to walk around here and tell me what I've got. I wonder what that one is, or really where it came from? Enjoying them all no matter who they are. I do love peony time.

I'll try to get out there and look and see if she does have a yellow center or not... And I think we all could use Don or Lucas to wander through our peony beds and tell us who we have for sure. Smiling LOL

What I know is that it has not bloomed before. I'll have to try and figure it out. Looking at various Mrs FDR's, I just don't think it is it. I do love it though......so that is good Smiling
