'Pink Vanguard' Highly adorable and very recommended best landscaper peony bred by Bill Seidl and Don Holingsworth. I couldn't stop adoring this one once it opened up! (great job and kudos to Seidl and Hollingsworth for this beauty!)

And with the peonies I have seen a TON of honey bees this spring, which is always a welcome sight.

I have to laugh when Doglover saids she only lives on 1 acre. My house is on a typical suburban lot - maybe 0.25 acres, which includes the house.

But, I do live on a corner lot, so I have a little more room in the frontyard. But, even with those limitations, I have managed to cram about 48 peony plants in it - mostly herbaceaous, some tree peonies and two ITOH.

Mags, Lovely lovely peonies, as per usual. How do you like Hesphestos? I'm considering gettting it when I come up to Klehm's with my hosta group in early June. And did you take advantage of going over to pick up your orders from them this spring? Yes, I have some new ones blooming, but I was putting in a veggie garden this past weekend and so... No picture taking for me. I'll see about getting some this week.

I'd say packing in as much beauty as you can in whatever plot you call home means you are doing it right, with the space you have. Sometimes I wish for more (space) too, but really, taking time to appreciate the space you do have beats all

Diann, I did not do the pick up at Klehm's. I save my buying for the plant tour in June as well. I love to see all the plants. And then pick from what I see.

Look forward to your bloom posts too. You have many Diann that have inspired purchases over the years. Can't wait to see how your peony year has shaped up.
