Standing by to see how it does throughout the growing season. Love the color of the leaves. Have you entered it in the database?

Here's a new picture of the unknown brown sedum I picked up at Lowes or Home Desperate last year. The leaves are staying quite small, but are coming out green. Much much smaller than the leaves on Dragon's Blood. Here it is pictured next to Sedum sexagular:

Very nice small leaved sedum. There are so many brown/red spurium type sedum on the market now. Maybe we can tell more as we get further into the growing season. Some bloom yellow, some pink and some red.

Lowes was selling spurium 'Salsa' the past two years here. Leaf size can get larger but that is what I think you may have.

My 'Salsa' is very leggy at the moment, too. I think it will fill in and get larger as the season progresses.

Unknown or not, I like this little sedum. I have it in another bed that gets more sun and it's further along and greener there. I'll take another picture.

Tarev, I'm curious about the label in the pick. Is this handwritten or did you find a way to print on them? Very nice looking label, how long do they last for you?

It is a handwritten nameplate. This is actually the first time I am formally labelling my plants..before I just take a photo and the name stays in my hard drive Big Grin or noid at all. But since I got the name of the plant correctly from Lyn I decided to put it in. I am hoping the label will last long, I just used a sharpie permanent marker and the plastic nameplates I got from Daiso store a pack of 40 pcs for $1.50 Big Grin

Sharpies will fade within one year. I think you are better off using a pencil if you want the label to last. The plastic labels will age and break off in about a year as well. To protect yourself from losing the name of the plant, write the name on the label on the part of the label that will be in the ground, as well as the part above ground. The ground will block UV from the sun and prevent the deterioration and fading of the plastic and information on it. When the above ground portion fades away and the plastic breaks off, you will still have the underground portion to use to id the plant and create a new label.

Oh I know twitcher that it is bound to happen, things fade..that is why I also get a photo in my hard drive..that way, I can always cross reference later. Smiling
