Here's something I am anticipating after a few years with no luck. I finally learned how to grow my Catasetum Jumbo Pearl x Jumbo Babylon with 3 (!) spikes. I didn't water this winter until roots grew to 1-2". They I misted them daily.

The Catasetum looks very promising!! Very cute Phal parishii! Thumbs up

Laurel, thanks. I am glad you like the miniatum. I got it from Oak Hill in 2008 and it is truly miniatum, not garayi.

YEOW! Where to start! Janice, I love those odont intergenerics you have...they are among my favourite group!

Ursula, that little pink dendrobium is too cute! and I love the Appleblossom, regardless to the name! (I don't know where to even try pronouncing the real one!)

Kathy, that Catasetum is going to be stunning! I hope the blooms last longer than my Cynoches...only 7 days!...and your mounted orchids look so good. Mine at work are NOT looking well these days.

I can't remember which pics I've shown so forgive me if they are repeats. I know I did not show this one as I took the pic today. This is Odontocidium Jungle Monarch blooming in my office.

Kathy I don't think I am hitting the finish button twice, I don't know what is happening!! I only seems to happen when I post pics.
Jonna those orchids are simply attached to the tree, I tied come of them with the nursery tape until they attached. I water them about once a week with weak liquid fertilize if it doesn't rain. They are so easy when we don't have freezes like we did this year!!

Lorine, I finally had a chance to look at other cubits and other folks have double posts at times. So it's certainly nothing you are doing! So someday the bug will be fixed and the posts will probably be fine!

I hope next year is easier for everyone!

I decided to 'just do it' and I tied one of the orchids I have onto the log in the pond. I put some algae on and under the roots and I'll spray it every day until the rains start. It's quite humid but the roots are not in the water. I believe it is an Encyclia cochleata, I got it last fall and took a picture when it was blooming.

Here it is on the log in the pond.

Looks pretty on the log. Hope it likes it there. First buds opened today on my Odcdm. Catatante 'Pumpkin Patch' Will have to take it outside and try to get a better photo after a few more open. I like the color. Not sure about this type of flower.

My Asiatica order came with Calanthe x kozu. It's not peach but it's beautiful. I was not expecting any blooms. Here are the crunched with shipping material flowers.

One more. I'll hafta be careful to not overwater and to ventilate, this flower has a touch of botrytis I think.
