Lindsey, and it was wrapped in a Japanese newspaper!!
My Paphinia cristata is starting to open!!
That's it for tonight, off to water houseplants and eat dinner....
I killed one years ago.... pumice you say, hmmm. Will keep that in mind.
I have never ever been able to post my Leptotes bicolor with all flowers open at the same time. I think there is no exception this year either, looking at the buds.
I picked up the Appendicula elegans from Andy last March at the SEPOS and it has not stopped its somewhat wild flowering since then. Right now I see a lot of new growth and more spikes.
I just looked at the pics from the Robiquetia cerina ( bought in spike at the SEPOS a couple of weeks ago) I need to get a better plant pic. But here is the neat cluster -
OMG, you have such great ones blooming, Ursula! Amazing color on that Vanda. The second pic of the Robiquetia cerina makes me envy the pollinators who get to crawl into those inviting pods! The Appendicula elegans is a happy plant and I like those flowers. And wow on all those buds on the Leptotes!!!
For those who are not faint of heart, me thinks this looks like a paph....http://ajourneyroundmyskull.tumblr.com/post/508799530/turnofthecentury-hb-dear-baudelaire-april-9
