Hit 102 in the garden center , not a fun day at work. Way to hot for this time of year.

Many people shopping in the garden center in the heat! I won't tell you about the weather here. Sorry it's so hot for everyone.

Those greenhouses must be like saunas!

We need rain.

Rain here this morning , a thunderstorm dropped half an inch , first here in 22 days following 5 days of 90+ heat

I got maybe .10 of an inch... hot an dry...no humidity tho.. worked out in the gardens all day yesterday,got 3 smaller beds redug,cleaned up..I had to repostion a birdbath,and dig out Crown vetch I knew I`d be sorry when I planted it...I was... also dug out a big patch of Lamium,redug that bed...

Now I have room to BUY something NEW... :hurray:

I was digging in my shade garden today. I bought several goats beard years ago from wayside. One got the boot today in the compost pile. That thing was giant. I'm not a big fan of that plant, not enough bloom.

Its a very dramatic plant in the right place. I have it in the wrong place and its horrible to try to controle. I'm going to have mine dug up in the fall.

I wouldnt mind it if it would stay the size it is.But its migrating outwards and shading and crowding lilies.

I had 10 of the white astibles down the side of the house in between some Hostas. After the second year I dug them up and threw them away, they take up too much ground space for such a short bloom period.

I trashed an Amsonia hubrichtiI. They are huge, look like weeds, and don't change colors in the fall here as claimed. How that plant was named Plant of the Year last year is a mystery to me.

I feel for you Clint.I have done that to many plants that I didnt check out and found out later they are invasive.
Its a nutty season here,DL's are budding and will bloom a month early,salvias and veronicas arent blooming with the iris as I had planned and Lilies are going to be a mystery.

Everything is looking so beautiful.

Its really a cool plant,for the right spot,they arent realated to Astilbes,just look like them,Right ?
I have Astilbes I love EM,not the giant ones tho...
