Not a big box store but could be. My soils pretty good and a little shaking is a heck of a lot better than worrying every time I see it in full wilt. Thanks for the tip, which I bet applies to most potted plants.

It is a Bowling Ball,a really old one....hard rubber,black and teal marbleized,has a matte finish now,after being in the sun..I have a black and tan one too,and 6 more...LOL..these were free...not like a beautiful gazing ball,that are $$$....

Thanks Tamara! Now I don't feel quite so dumb. Bowling Ball came to mind because it was not shinny, the gazing balls are usually shinny and expensive and they break real easy too. Bowling ball is a great idea, if you have extra why waste them. Put them out they are cool.
