All just lovely, Lindsey.I need some tips on the Den Samaurai - came home from my trip to find - in true Samaurai fashion - it had jumped out of it's basket and was lying on the pavers. No sign of more spikes, either. Not a happy camper at the moment.

Bill, I'm seeing pairs of swords held high, not bunny ears - those are long, pointy petals, aren't they!

Gee, I think so. I think that the 3 sepals are white, the petals are green and the lip is rose.

I'm with you Alice, Bills descriptions make me look at the flowers differently.
Although , I'm not seeing the bunnies...these are more like the postcard critters I've seen in the SW....are they Jack O Lopes?

Elaine, this was gifted to me a couple of years ago already established in a HUGE and HEAVY clay pot. I haven't messed with it because I know they like to be pot bound. It gets almost Vanda light for part of the day and really bright light the rest of the day...I water it almost every day as well.

I like all three of those, Lindsey! Very pretty!

Looks like time to close the shack, already. It got down to 48 briefly this morning. It's easier to keep the humidity up when it's closed anyway.

My son and his wife drove over from Sarasota to visit this weekend to help me do some chores outside that had been put off for a month due to my back. I now have electricity in the shed (three fluorescent fixtures, light switches at each door, and five plugs). No more pulling a 100' extension cord from the patio to the shed. Hurray!

My daughter-in-law always likes to take a plant or two back to Sarasota, so she picked out one of my compact (and blooming) orchids to take back with her. It was in an 8", wood-lattice, hanging basket. She wanted a hanging plant for their lanai. The Pot. Ah Chung YoYo 'Little Goldfish' was the orchid she chose. I had 8 of these in a large hanging basket under one of my trees and they are all beginning to grow roots into adjacent pots. I need to put them all in individual hanging baskets or just put them on a table in my shadehouse so that they won't be "joined" with other orchids. I have several baskets of plants that I need to do this. Hopefully, after my back surgery, I can get caught up with some chores.

Ha, ha, Ursula. I only had two large Den. in 14" hanging baskets and this Pot. in bloom. She said the Den. were too large for the space she wanted to hang the orchid in. The 8" was a fit.

Hey everyone, you can not have a pink Bow Bells! This is a 'Heritage Cattleya" so designated by the AOS. Heritage because not only is it famous in its own right but it was a building block in terms of building other white hybrids in subsequent generations.
All it's predecessors were white and all of its progeny were white. Plus look at a Bow Bells. These were huge floppy whites with yellow to orange discs in a frilly lip. The lip was taller then it was wide.
This flower is gorgeous but it suffers from " squirrels playing with the label" syndrome. Plus this lip is very open and round, Bow Bells was not. Off hand I do not know what it is but I am positive it is not Bow Bells.
Sorry Lindsey.

Better blowing leaves than having the snowblower out, right? At least not yet.

How about this C. Bow Bells 'Elzada' X Rlc. Sweet Amy.
Could the pink come from George King?

You DO have a snowblower, don't you Bill?
