Someone else will come along and explain it better, but it's a Buggy Crazy lily, and Lisa named it after what happened to a mobile home she purchased.

If I remember right it was a Skyline mobile home that had dryrot in the roof. She gave away a 'Dryrot' lily with every purchase of a 'Skyline' lily.

It was likely all about the mood she was in when she named the lily...

Looking back at last years photos, my lilies and daylilies are at least 3 weeks early. I'm looking forward to seeing lots of rebloom on the daylilies hopefully. Finally getting a decent rain this PM.

Noticed something strange about the NOID I thought might be Pearl Jennifer. It has no pollen at all on any of the blooms. I searched and tried to find a yellow spotted one that was pollenless, but couldn't come up with any. With all the dark spots, I didn't notice the lack of pollen the first few days. The other one in this photo is the other noid that came wtih it.

This is lily #2 for me this year. I found these NOID lilies growing when I took over my current property and this is the first time I have ever seen them bloom. Last fall I dug up the original clump and moved the resulting bulbs (about 40 or 50 total) to various places around the yard.

I am not really a fan of LA lilies or of lilies with upfacing blooms, but these are pleasant enough. They have a light, sweet scent and measure about 7" across. First bloom was May 25.

Anyone recognize this lily?

Oh, nice, I've been waiting for a post of that one too. What do you think Moby? It looks like a very large flower and nice pattern too. The height is nice here. How tall is yours? It is the same bloom pictured? One has a yellowish finish where the other looks more light pink. Just curious.

Lovely.

I'd say it's close to 3 ft. tall. It does has a very faint yellow to it, moreso on the reverse. My camera doesn't do purples very well, either too red or blue. It's very cool here this morning but I could still get a light, sweet fragrance.

Gorgeous Lankon. It's really cool here today. Suppose we are going to get our April in June? Here's another buggy one: PYC (pink yellow center) Not a real strong grower but I like it.

The huge stalk of Freya that broke off is opening very well in the house. It looks like most of the 38 buds will open.

On this rainy last day of May (hooray for the much needed rain!), one of my Rosepoint Lace bulbs has sprung into glorious flower. This is one of the Lilium lankongense hybrids planted last fall that started showing buds at only 3-4 inches tall this spring, but has elongated fairly nicely and is now 22 inches tall with three buds (one yet unopened). I planted five bulbs total of this strain: three remaining stems have buds almost ready to pop (maybe tomorrow?) and one stem stayed a few inches shorter and aborted its buds.

To my eyes, it is beautiful and I have high hopes for taller stems, a higher bud count and some signs of multiplication next season! Big Grin
