[ Lily (Lilium 'Tangelo [OT]') | Posted on September 28, 2019 ]

This is an unregistered hybrid. If it is ever registered, it will need to be under a different name to avoid a clash with the 1950 Asiatic registration: Lily (Lilium 'Tangelo')

[ Lily (Lilium Harlequin) | Posted on September 28, 2019 ]

According to the RHS Register, there is some debate over the parentage of the Harlequin Group. It cites J. de Graff from LYB 30:27 (1967) as stating that the original 'Harlequin' was a clone selected from the Mid-Century Group and that the later Harlequin Hybrids/Group was completely unrelated and derived from Lilium cernuum X Lilium davidii.

[ Orchid (Cymbidium John Wooden) | Posted on September 1, 2019 ]

This grex has been made at least twice. The earliest is thought to be the 3N strain produced by SBOE: Orchid (Cymbidium Solana Beach 'St. Francis') 4N X Orchid (Cymbidium Red Beauty 'Carmen') 2N. A later remake by NHO was 4N.

[ Orchid (Cymbidium Red Beauty 'Carmen') | Posted on September 1, 2019 ]

This was made as a diploid (2n), but a tetraploid conversion (4n) exists. The only naming difference is that they should be labelled as Red Beauty 'Carmen' 4N.

'Carmen' is known to not to be an alba carrier, despite it being originally hoped otherwise.

[ Orchid (Cymbidium Red Beauty 'Geyserland Netty') | Posted on September 1, 2019 ]

This is the 4N form of Orchid (Cymbidium Red Beauty 'Netty').
