[ Lily (Lilium 'Nataliia') | Posted on October 31, 2020 ]

Care must be taken not to confuse this with Lily (Lilium Roselily Natalia), as both are sometimes mislabelled as 'Natalia'.

[ Lily (Lilium Roselily Natalia) | Posted on October 31, 2020 ]

Care must be taken not to confuse this with Lily (Lilium 'Nataliia'), as both are sometimes mislabelled as 'Natalia'.

[ Lily (Lilium 'Elena') | Posted on October 31, 2020 ]

Care must be taken not to confuse this hybrid with Lily (Lilium Roselily Elena®), as the latter has sometimes been erroneously labelled 'Elena'.

[ Lily (Lilium Roselily Elena®) | Posted on October 31, 2020 ]

Care must be taken not to confuse this with Lily (Lilium 'Elena'), as Roselily Elena has sometimes been labelled erroneously as 'Elena'.

[ Orchid (Cymbidium Seductive) | Posted on October 20, 2020 ]

This was made and registered by Nado Lenkic of Springfield Orchids. He used Orchid (Cymbidium God Only Knows 'Winter Falls') and Orchid (Cymbidium tracyanum 'Tamborine') and had the cross treated with colchicine. The cross started flowering in 2020.

[ Orchid (Cymbidium canaliculatum 'Laura Gold') | Posted on October 14, 2020 ]

This selection of the species is one of the rarer alba forms.

[ Orchid (Cymbidium Tracy's Girl) | Posted on October 1, 2020 ]

This grex was made by Bert Ruiter using diploid parents (the alba Orchid (Cymbidium Melinga 'Rum Jungle') with a regular Tracy's Cymbidium (Cymbidium tracyanum)) and treated for tetraploids.

[ Orchid (Cymbidium Atalanta 'Chiffon') | Posted on October 1, 2020 ]

This particular selection originates with a remake of the grex made by Nado Lenkic of Springfield Orchids (Western Australia) in the early 2000s.

[ Orchid (Cymbidium Terama 'Atlantis') | Posted on September 17, 2020 ]

This is an unstable partial petal peloric. It usually exhibits a partial repetition of the lip markings on the two petals, resulting in a white centre on the petals with some spots. However, it can revert to full normal colouration (as it did for me and another grower in the 2020 flowering season).

It also flowers off very small plants and, if care is taken, can flower the year after repotting as well.

[ Orchid (Cymbidium Sleeping Beauty 'Sarah Jean') | Posted on September 13, 2020 ]

This is a clean white alba selection of the grex that exists as both diploid (2N) and tetraploid (4N) forms. It was also the clone used for the first iteration of Orchid (Cymbidium Sarah Jean).

[ Moth Orchid (Phalaenopsis 'Shanghai') | Posted on August 29, 2020 ]

This is not a registered hybrid but is instead a single clone in cultivation (predominantly for the cut flower market).

[ Orchid (Cymbidium Scented Pearl) | Posted on August 20, 2020 ]

To the best of my knowledge, this has only been made once using Orchid (Cymbidium Gladys Whitesell 'The Charmer') X Cym. canaliculatum var. sparkesii (the solid red form of the species). Given that 'The Charmer' is 3N and the pollen parent was almost certainly 2N, the progeny are likely to be a range of ploidies and some aneuploids as well. It would be most interesting to see what the chromosome count of some of them are!

[ Orchid (Cymbidium Borough Green 'Conference') | Posted on August 15, 2020 ]

It has been suggested to me that Orchid (Cymbidium Nicky 'Kuring-gai') was the Nicky used in making this particular clone.

[ Lily (Lilium leucanthum var. centifolium Black Dragon Group) | Posted on August 13, 2020 ]

This strain is distinct from the original Lily (Lilium leucanthum var. centifolium 'Black Dragon') selection which may no longer exist in cultivation.

[ Lily (Lilium leucanthum var. centifolium 'Black Dragon') | Posted on August 13, 2020 ]

Distinct from Lily (Lilium leucanthum var. centifolium Black Dragon Group) and possibly no longer in cultivation. The RHS records this as a specific clone selected from the species in the 1950s, whereas the Black Dragon Group (formerly the Black Magic Group) was a later selection of similar plants in the 1960s.

[ Orchid (Cymbidium 'Novoflor Ivory Coast') | Posted on July 28, 2020 ]

Another commercial hybrid that is only available under a tradename. It blooms in 4" pots and has Orchid (Cymbidium Tersilum 'New Horizon') in its ancestry (which is the source of its compact size).

[ Orchid (Cymbidium 'Novoflor Tayrona') | Posted on July 28, 2020 ]

This is a commercial plant (only available under its trade name) produced by New Horizon Orchids. It is named for the Tayrona National Park in the Sierra Nevada, which has snow cover year round.

[ Orchid (Cymbidium Old Brown Shoes 'July 20') | Posted on July 28, 2020 ]

The hybridiser, Andy Easton, named this for Colombia's Independence Day.

[ Orchid (Cymbidium Pixie Chorus) | Posted on July 28, 2020 ]

The hybridiser, Andy Easton, reports that this grex cuts well but often doesn't have viable pollen.

[ Orchid (Cymbidium John Fogerty) | Posted on July 26, 2020 ]

Despite being registered as a cross with Cym. parishii, this was made with Orchid (Cymbidium sanderae 'Emma Menninger'). This is due to the ongoing confusion with the classification of the taxa involved.
