What BEAUTIFUL pictures! Cottage_Rose, your pictures are breath taking.

I have a real mix of annuals, perennials, shrubs, vines and of course roses in my garden. I like to have many colors every where. I wish the fragrant flowers would be stronger, but in my dry & cool air environment, it just doesn't happen. I'm excited to buy a few more roses this spring. I have roses in flowerbeds and also a number of them in pots. I like moving the pots around as the roses bloom. Everything in the picture are in container pots.

I was told by my DH that we are getting too old to put down any new beds. He didn't say anything about using lots and lots of containers!!! You are an inspiration Joanna.

Sounds like Robin Delargy and she still sells roses on ebay and from her website...she is in Washington state.

About me.....I joined DG in the summer of 2005. I used to post a lot over there, but life got kind of busy so I quit going. I still belong, but rarely post. I love flowers and cats.

So I recently retired from 30 years as a lab assistant in the Microbiology Lab at a local hospital. I liked my job a lot. It was busy, it was interesting and it was fulfilling. But it just got to be time to go. I'm 63, so it's time.

I've been married for 42 years and have two sons, both unmarried. So I guess I won't be a Grandma, but that is okay. I don't yearn for grandkids, even though all my friends have them and tell me how much I'm missing.

Thanks for the tip! It seems I forgot to watch some of the Forums in that Cubit that I am interested in. I checked them out, but just didn't click "watch" on them all. I have just rectified that!

Thanks Mike...the reality is that the butterfly was drinking the sweat that was pouring off my face..it was a hot day...but I like the Snow White reference better.
