Saw this bike/coffee table in May. Forgot about it until now. Had a glass circle on top of the frame, held up by four stems/legs. Thought someone could copy it for a lot less than the $999. price tag on it!

I might take the wheel frames off and make them into a pedestal for a glass table top, but I don't think I'd enjoy having a dead bike laid out in my living room. Could be garden art though. With a metal framed glass top.

I thought it would look neat on a patio.

@Sharon, you probably wouldn't like my coffee table in the game room. I'll take a photo of it after I clear the Xmas stuff off of it. Whistling

Garden art is in the eye of the beholder. Spray paint it, turn it upside down, stick it in a patch of blooms and whattya get? Yeah. Somebody is going to call it garden art.

Except potties. That never did quite grab me somehow.

But then there is always the excellent good stuff and so much of it is here on this forum.

Yes, photo anyway, Bubbles.

It may wind up in the garden one day. It seems to grow bigger each season. It's a WWII Liberty Ship cargo hatch door. I bought it from a general who had two that he had used as desks at the Pentagon, before he retired to New Mexico to open an antique shop, The General's Store.

We were on our way to Colorado for DH for to take a three month course. 'Saw hatch and I had to have it for some reason. I flew home with a two yr old a couple of weeks later (to be in the Starving Artist Show on the River Walk in San Antonio), and DH had to drive home with detour to pick up "my table top" 3 mos. later. That two yr old is now 41. Time flies! I still love that old hatch. I feel it has had quite a history.

Bubbles, you forget I was a boater, only sailing vessels and trawlers and another liveaboard or two, but I love hatch doors. And all things nautical. Lots of things can be incorporated into a garden Smiling

The farrier who takes care of our ponies gave us this the other day. I think I'm going to attach it to a post and stick it in one of the flower beds. Opinions, please: Should I paint it?

Delightful gift. Smiling I like it as is, but it might get lost in the foliage unless it is painted a brighter color?

I love that! I'd love it over a door! Any color that's bright as a flower would be good, if you're going to place it in the garden. And since it's only paint, you can experiment with different colors until you hit the right one!

I have a couple of horseshoe tables that were given to me by a rancher who made them for us before we left Del Rio, 46 yrs ago. They've been natural, black, and "rust" colored at one time or another. The rust color is from PepBoys, and is used to undercoat car trunks. It looks like rust, but I can use tables inside or out.

Oh Woofie - I LOVE it. I like it as is but like Debra said, if it gets lost in the garden, you could spray paint it a bright color Thumbs up

I love it Woofie, and would leave it as it is, an unobtrusive natural look in the garden. It won't take away from your bloom colors that way. Like Bubbles, I'd want two, one to hang in my house. Over a doorway. After all, horseshoes are for good luck, I need all I can get, so 4 would be better than even just one. Smiling

Oh, I think I just figured out where to put it! I have an arch out in the front yard, with a rose on one side and a clem on the other. I think I'll hang it from the top of the arch and just leave it as is. At least for now (or rather when I can get out there....bunch of snow between me and that arch right now!)
