Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!

I have been on a healthy eating diet and exercise for weight loss plan for 7 weeks now since I started back in December. Today I got to my first goal of loosing ten pounds from my starting weight. I exercise each day. watch what I eat and have cut out sweets compleatly.

I am really happy to have that first ten pounds gone. And the exercise is making me stronger so that when gardening season comes I will have an easier time taking care of my gardens.

So I am still way overweight but hey, It took me a long time to put the weight on so it will take a while to get it back off again.

Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!

Great news, Rita! Hurray! That first goal reached is such a relief, isn't it?

I could use a bit of your energy!

So far today I've only exercised my typing fingers. Whistling I've been ordering plants for spring planting.

I want to be much lighter and have more muscle come spring and gardening season. And yes, this first ten pounds off was a very big thing in my mind. It was just this big massive first term goal that I am so happy to achieve.

I am not about to stop working out and eating healthy. I have a long ways to go as my weight was 150, now 140. I am only 5'2" so it really is way too much. My goal is 30 pounds total weight loss.

You know the funny thing is that I mostly have more energy since I stated working out and eating lots and lots of vegtables and less red meat. Not about to become a vegetarian or vegan or anything, Just want to eat more healthy and loose weight.

The rats and mice must be still be partying out in my garage. I keep putting the rat bait out and it keeps getting eaten. All baits were eaten when I checked this morning. And I had put out a lot of bait. So I put out more bait, even more than I had out prior times. At least when the rats eat, they die.

This has been going on since late spring this past year. I have never seen so many rodents as I have this year. And the garage is detached from the house, which in this case, is a good thing.

I know I planted my garden to attrack wildlife but rats were not what I had in mind! Blinking

Hey, Tam. It's good to hear from you.
Is it cold enough this morning, or what?! Something like -17 windchill? I'm thinking it'll be a week or two yet before we get our blizzard.
I've started winter sowing several different types of penstemon and native wildflowers. Without lights, it'll be quite a while yet till I'm ready to start indoor plants.

There's just a dusting of snow here right now, but a bit more is on the way. Schools with a certain percentage of walk-to-school children delayed classes because of the extreme wind chill factor. I'm kind of looking forward to a trip into the city for another bag of vermiculite - mainly because the heater in the truck is so very efficient! I'm not looking forward to gathering up more winter sowing containers to bring indoors - they're out in the storage area behind the garage. Brrrr....

You can certainly tell that it's the month of the Cardinal around here. Lovey dubby I've seen a surge in numbers at my feeders in the past few days.

Thumb of 2013-02-03/chelle/3cde81

Plant orders for this year are in, and finished winter sown jugs are piling up. Working on making up paper planting pockets for seedlings now, and starting to get really excited about spring! I guess my winter hibernation period is just about over, even if winter isn't. Smiling
