Notice how quiet I've been!! Big Grin Also I post a photo and now don't have any idea which forum I posted it in, but it isn't here - funny imagining folks reactions in whatever forum I accidentally posted semp photos
OK here is what I got...same ole semps, probably no one but me can tell that they've actually grown since I planted them Hurray! Thumb of 2013-01-30/gg5/a6b754 Thumb of 2013-01-30/gg5/74e1bf

I'm loving them too! And yes, I knew I had some but as I was making this green wall, I cleared the bed of NOIDs and looking under sedum and leaves etc I located quite a few Big Grin

Yes, that would be me, well behaved, even when I am trying to get a newbie hooked on semps. Angel

Oooooh, Greg you are honing those camera skills. Hurray! Look, they are waking up from winter slumber. I can't believe the color change and shape of the rosettes. Hurray! How exciting.
It is fun to see which varieties wake up first. I wonder what that red one is?

I am finding the S. 'Afterglow' is prone to winter rot when you live in our area. All the months of rain AND cold. She will recover, but sure looks awful right now. Sad
I might try moving it to a different bed and see if that will make a difference.

That red one was in a bowl of semps that I bought last year, I've taken chicks from it and spread them all around - I really like it! (or it could be 'Sassy Frass' (if it looks like that) I didn't keep track of the first few semp orders that I recieved, and mixed them in all together - which is why I needed this semp project to have a place to put all the NOIDs! Big Grin
Cheers

I don't have a photo of Sassy Frass in January. I'll try to remember to go out and take a photo of mine.

I have 3 beds all weeded and repairs done on the heaving situation. I am loving this none rainy days. It is suppose to be dry Friday also. Maybe I will get the rest of them done on Friday & Sat.

Have a bunch of new photos I need to download to my computer. I noticed that some of my semps and sedum are waking up from winter slumber. Hurray!

Mine too! But here in Seattle it rained all day, that's why some of the semps in my photos look funny, like their wearing lipstick or something! They had beauty drops on them! Big Grin
Can't wait to see your photos Lynn! Btw - a whole day and I haven't looked at SMG's site! Hooray...I'll wait for yours to grow in then I'll beg off a cutting or something Hilarious!

Greg, love the variety in your planting. Not as much sedum in this planting like the first that you showed us a while back in time. Oops just saw some on the sides?
I could see the fun you must have had plotting and planting...no, I meant planting your plot. Whistling

Oh oh, must be that time of night, everyone is getting giddy! Rolling on the floor laughing Ok so that green one is going to be really cool! Last summer I ordered from (guess where) SMG the 40 NOID chicks for $20.00 I think it came in with those! Its been fun to watch it grow, it was one of the ones hidden under some sedum! I cannot believe how fast some sedum can take over a bed - if one wants that its great! I'm not even talking the large varieties, these are smaller varieties but they just love this weather and go crazy! I'm saving them for other locations!
Hurray!
I just somehow found a photo in the database that looks exactly like my semp - just for my own FYI (I would only say its a NOID since I can't be sure) but it looks like S. 'Aladdin' interesting, just happened upon that one!

Wow Greg, that's a lot of semps in your project. How I would LOVE to get out and play in the dirt! Not for a while here though. Got about 8" of heavy, wet snow yesterday again. But we really need the moisture as we're still recovering from last year's drought.

8" of snow?! I bet it's annoying not being able to see them! We just about had 2" where I live! Thumbs down I love making snowmen, I wish for a garden to do so in. Rolling on the floor laughing

We get lots of snow every winter Pia. But I do have some semps planted up that are in the garage for the winter, so I can always go out there to get my "fix". Rolling on the floor laughing

Can't loose that lovely! Hey - I said I was going to bed hours ago...this time for real

Just got up. Good morning all.

Wow, Pia, I adore your new avatar, I love what the message is. But we already know you are most fabulous. Now others will know. Hurray! Group hug

Greg, if I am looking at the correct semp, it is fine, just the color the tips are suppose to be. Thumbs up And they are lovely, that one really stands out.

Hi guys, so Lynn did you see that it looks awfully like 'Aladdin' Meanwhile I feel like I'll always remember what semps are in this green wall, but I know that in 6 months I'll come back to it and be like "what is that one?" especially after they grow in and send out chicks...so anything that I use in a project is a NOID! I'm thinking I should just accept that I'm the NOID kid!!

Greg, that's actually a really good way to use up NOIDS. I use them in all my projects too. Maybe we need a NOID Club. Sticking tongue out
