We have our own little club of insomniacs who toss and turn then sit at the computer. Which reminds me, where is Tee and Sharon?

Tee (Song of Joy) isn't on ATP anymore Arif. Sad I don't know about Sharon. Maybe she went to sleep. Shrug!

How many hours are you ahead of Eastern daylight time? It's has to be sometime in the morning there or later.

10 to 13 hours then a confusion of advancing clocks so to keep it easy, GMT+5. I am out of sync by about twelve hours, if it is night there then daylight here. Sharon is around and has a finger on the pulse of ATP Thumbs up . I am quite sure nothing gets past her, even if quiet. Maybe she over did it in the first flush of spring and is tired. Tee I will miss.
Regards,
Arif.

Marilyn - I think she is keeping her semps inside because she didn't realize that they're cold hardy plants, and so they got used to being inside, but once she moves them outside they can stay out from then on, if you never bring them inside you won't ever have that issue nodding Thumbs up

Exactly right! Mine have adjusted to indoors so I would shock them to death if I moved them outside permanently right now! Poor little things would be crying "whyyy?!" Rolling on the floor laughing

I don't think mine would be very happy either if I stuck them out in the freezing rain right now. Big Grin

Has any one ever heard of awnings? You know, roll up roll down ones made of canvas.

Normally yes but anyway sounds good for succulent lovers. Rain lower it, sun raise it. Find the mechanical part in some junkyard, nothing happens to it except maybe oiling and get it covered with canvas fabric.

Arif.

I've already been considering doing something, I am not able to have an awning on my building, but I have been considering making something that I could manually take on and off as needed! I tip my hat to you.

I have some bamboo screening that I am going to rig up somehow to provide mobile shade. Something I can move where needed. I just need to figure out how to do it.

My issue is for next winter (I'm planning ahead!) I want some covering to keep the crazy amount of rain off some of the plants, although now that I have chicken grit mixed in, it may no longer be a problem! Big Grin

I know about the rain up there, it is where I'm from. We think we get it bad down here but it could be worse.

I'm hoping we're done for the year!! Pretty sure that may be wishful thinking nodding (maybe not totally done, but done with the crazy nonstop rain for several days thing!!)
