Number 20 that you haven't named. I pretty sure it is Paphiopedilum Fanaticum which is Malipoense x Micranthum.

Fantastic show pictures, from both of you. All I can say is "Wow!"

Glad to hear you both got out and back ok.

Thanks, Ursula and Elaine. Yesterday the weather was fine, but today is a mess-snow, sleet, rain. People are worried about roof cave-ins.

Wonderful pictures, Kathy! Now I know why our local show was missing a few vendors...they were back east.

After checking out these wonderful shows I'm almost ashamed to post these photos of the Tampa Orchid Club's display at the State Fair. Many of these orchids are mine and the theme was education rather than orchids so they concentrated on repotting. There was no misting bottle for me to spray the Vandas so I was a bit upset. I'm not convinced that loaning out orchids is such a good thing.

Jim, How long do they have to live out of their happy environment? I think I would be at the fair every day to watch over them. Hilarious!

Maybe, but these are my babies and the care they are receiving are not what they are used to. The fair lasts for a couple of weeks. I hope I can revive them once I get them back. I may not do this again.

Busy day tomorrow as I will attend a palm tree class from 9 AM until 3 PM down iin Manatee County and then will give a presentation on turf grass up in New Tampa at 7 PM. Busy day Thursday as well. It seems like I had more free time when I was working.

Jim, I agree on the care.

How did we ever find the time to go to work? I have the same problem. Big Grin

They look great, Jim. I'm sure they'll survive given how healthy they all were to begin with. That Vanda has a ton of roots.
It's a very nice display, too. That Ang. with 3 big blooms, wow!

My Bl. Yellow Bird is opening a new flower, now we have 3 color combos going. This one is fragrant, too. Big NoID catt on its last legs. Pot. Fire in your Eyes getting a lot more pink as it ages.

Lc. Goldbrad is a little plant that blooms generously. Plus one of my champion bloomers, Howeara Lava Burst 'Puanani' is loaded with spikes again. The plants look scraggly and are trying to jump out of their little pots, but each has 2 spikes coming, and one has 3! Given that they bloomed for months last summer, I sure didn't expect to see them coming along again now!

Very nice show, Elaine, and I continue to like your Yellow Bird. I thought I might see you at the palm mini course today. It was well worth the effort. There were a few there from your Extension Office.

I left at 7 AM and fought rush hour traffic all the way. I just got home and it is raining. I leave at 6:00 again to give my turf talk at the New Tampa Library. No time to post now.

Wow, JIm. Take it easy will ya? Wish I could have come to palm school, but couldn't get anybody to sub for me in the elementary school garden today.

One more presentation tonight and I am done for the week. Meanwhile, out in the OC, Schomburgkia undulata has hit its stride. Three five foot spikes in full bloom.
